Then that's your choice. Uber gave you the chance to get the Delta Commander cheaper and you still don't think it's worth it. Other people have bought it, is Uber to refund them their money just so you can justify spending the reduced extra $90? $70? $30?

How cheap do you want Uber to sell their hard work guys?

@Nanolathe: Why do you always seem to take the negative and in some cases quite aggressive position?

I was merely agreeing with the previous poster that I also was finding it hard to justify more than doubling the amount of money that I've spent so far, just to get a single item of interest. ie The Delta Commander

I've spent somewhere between $70 and $90 on this game. I consider this to be a good investment.

Of course I appreciate that the additional $110 would get me more that just the Delta commander.

    -------------------------------------------------------------
    - 'Commander' Accreditation
Nice for some, but I'm not bothered by this.

    - Planetary Naming Planetary Naming
Again Nothing wrong with this, but does nothing for me personally.

    - PA Founding Commander Badge PA Founding Commander Badge
Not sure what this is. No description on the page, but I assuming for now its some kind of in-game flair.

    - PA Asteroid Pin & PA Asteroid Belt Flair items for SMNC PA Asteroid Pin & PA Asteroid Belt Flair items for SMNC
I've tried SMNC and I guess it's just not my thing, so in my case at least, there's not a lot of point having flair items for it.
    -------------------------------------------------------------

Now.. as I said.. I've got nothing against people who do like these items, but they do nothing for me. Therefore, from my perspective the Delta commander is currently a single item which will cost me an additional $110 to get.

Assuming I've read @jerryhattrick correctly, he is in the same boat as me. looking at a package of things that cost $110 and only really being interested in one of them, which if we'd seen earlier might only have cost us $20 extra.

It's not a complaint as such, I was just commiserating with someone in the same situation as me.

    Suggesting that I want
is a.> Putting words in my mouth b.> Wrong c.> Pretty childish

I don't know where you get the idea that we're suggesting Uber should refund money to anyone.

As to what the Delta Commander would be worth on it's own, that is an interesting question.

I'm honestly not sure. Certainly it has been available previously at ~$20 (the gap between the $70 I've paid and the point at which it was previously available.), but I can appreciate that this was an early bird offer, and as such would be unlikely to be made available at that price again.

Also we're not entirely certain (at least until Alpha or more likely Beta) as to what possession of a Delta commander is likely to mean. At least in a precise way.

I wonder what price point others think would be reasonable. (Although I still agree this is largely a moot point)

To conclude: As I read it, neither @jerryhatrick nor myself were whining about the price of the digital cosmic pack. (I'm sure it's worth it to those who have it) Instead we were slightly annoyed with ourselves that we had not seen fit to bid the $90 which would have gotten us this extra commander, when we did have the opportunity.

Still wondering if Uber plans to open up upgrading options for kick-starters again, and whether or not that would include physical stuff too.

And you decided to share it because?

Kicking yourself when you're down seems a lot more negative than the position I occupy...

You may not think of it as a "complaint" but sitting there with big puppy-dog eyes resenting your own timidity doesn't do anyone any favours.

    This is precisely my point.

Negative, if not down right aggressive, almost every time.

There was talk of opening up the $1000 tier to a few people. I plan to get a Custom Commander when Uber is less busy with the whole "Alpha in three weeks" thing :p

Here's the thread: Custom Commander Upgrade

You probably should ignored this little guy from the start as it is obvious that you'd never be able hold a constructive conversation with him.

As for the sole legitimate point about introducing a reduced price solely to get the Delta Commander all they'd have to do is let people "Downgrade" but instead of refunding money just give them another Combat or Warfare key depending on the price they decided to release it at.

Though now that I've spent more time thinking about it I concede that the Delta Commander really is the main reason to buy the Galactic pack. If they lowered it (considerably) fewer people would buy it and they'd get less money. After all they're not out to please their customers. Thinking otherwise was a delusion.

So true! In reality they're not even making a game, they make a real robot army to invade the earth and destroy us all and you even paid them to do so!

Or more realisticly, pleasing all people all the time is just not possible for a game company and you're just peeved that it wasn't you who got pleased this time.

Just for reverence, I'm sitting here very pleased, smoking an after-pleasing cigarette. So, I think they pleased me just right.

Hm... what I've written above could be read in a wrong way I guess, ups?
