Honestly, I started doing that back on the super nintendo, before there was any 2nd analog stick. I did it while playing Megaman X so I could keep a charged shot going while I dash jumped (the fire button was the far left button on the face plate, jump was the bottom button, and dash was the top button. So unless you used the "double tap a direction" method to dash it was difficult to dash - jump without losing your charge shot. And the double tap a direction to dash method was less than ideal as it required extra button presses and wasn't as fast or consistent as simply hitting the dash button.)

Ha..the way some gamers act when another gamer wants to use a different input device reminds me of car enthusiasts who use manual gears and talk about those who drive with automatics.

im far from the best with a controller but here is a video of me using my controller vs my kb&m brethren. my videos are all uncut full matches.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XrWF7vVoJ6M

I use my controller mostly for comfort. I get to chill back on my recliner and not have to be hunched over a desk. But the key reason i handicap myself like this is because my hands get very uncomfortable after an hour of playing with kb&m... mostly from the keyboard hand. If by some great magic i can buy a flight sim joystick to replace the keyboard part my mouse hand's pain could be ignored..

    I'll just leave this here....

Most "gamepad" users have a hard time with the keyboard itself. Using the mouse is not the problem. ;)

I have myself a lovely office chair. I need only lock the tilt function so i don't tilt back too far and i can safely relax so i'm not hunched over a desk (which is horrible posture anyway and only indicates a bad combination of chair and desk)

Until i really get into a particular match and end up sitting up straight subconciously.

Wow, playing with such a handicap. Since gamepad is such a servere handicap in-game, that must make you the actual prodigy for this game. Sarcasm. It just shows that gamepad is acceptable to play with, and you can still keep par with other players who play otherwise.

In matter of fact, the deciding factor in this game was clearly a divided team against a united team, and your team's assassin wasn't bot-killing. Your gameplay was fine, trying to stay a foritfying presence in and around the bot lanes. Furthermore, the use of a gamepad seemed to be quite accurate, and was NOT a factor in any of the gameplay.

Still, not a bad video. Very sharp tank gameplay. Mind if I add it to my guide and credit you?

    Defensive much?

Jeez. Noone has said "herp derp gamepads make you bad! LOLOL!"

It is possible for object A to be better than Object B without it making Object B invalid and stupid.

Playing a platformer with a keyboard for instance is a pain in the butt as the gamepad's design allows for more button presses at the same time over a keyboard, and is simply more ergonomic. I also wouldn't play a fighting game with a keyboard as it is not suited for it. This doesn't mean you can't, or are bad for doing so. I'm sure there are people who play fighters on the PC all the time using the keyboard and do great, but it doesn't mean that it is the ideal way to play it. A gamepad is simply not as fast AND precise as a mouse, it can't be, simply by design. This doesn't make the person playing the game any worse, it just lowers the maximum that they can improve their aim as there is a mechanical limit to how fast and precise a gamepad can be.

However they can still learn just as much about the game, understand the mechanics just as well, and play very well. If you beat a person in chess without using your rooks, that means you were simply a better player it doesn't mean that you wouldn't win faster or more consistently by also incorporating those pieces into your gameplay.

Off topic, and I was having a poor day. Don't you have bad days at times? My Gen lost to a Ken without a lick of health left, because he did his ultra, I jumped completely behind him, and somehow I got caught while still behind him with it, and lost 1/3 my health.

Sometimes we don't play well some days. Holds true for MNC. Anyway, the video is proof. Yes, a keyboard is used in a more rapid reticle moving way, but it looked like his gamepad was linking plenty of shots with that railgun up. Matter of fact, every shot he took was red-reticle (meaning it either hits or not depending on the railgun's spread or your luck). Anyone with a mouse could hardly do "better". It is more like winning at chess without using "En Passant" (lolwutsenpassant?), than winning at chess without using rooks. It HARDLY matters, some are better with one (usually snipers with mouse), some are better at the other (rarely snipers with gamepad, but POSSIBLE).
