I'm still that when somebody says "Blame Microsoft" to me, I can't. Because they don't restrict any games. If they do, I could see some proof. I reckon it's something developers make up so people stop bothering them about it. I reckon that it's actually up to the developers to decide whether they want things in the game or not.

I reckon you have no clue what you are talking about. If you want you can read the info for yourself on the XBox website. They don't hide anything, they just cleverly mask it.

Gentleman, if it means anything, I agree with you

The problem here is on Uber's end, not Microsoft's. Eka explained this, but people seem to be blind to the fact that updated maps/Gear are difficult to release due to the games internal structure

    Instead, it's "Screw Microsoft!"

Re: Valve, as stated, they can release whatever they want, but they don't want to charge the community. It's them being stubborn, not Microsoft limiting them. Quite frankly, I'm happy to pay Valve for what the PC users get for free. But, they don't want to charge me, so I don't get the option.

Uber can make a patch tomorrow. It'll take weeks to get to us, but it's the same for every game. Uber can update the maps tomorrow, but it means that when the DLC is released, you'll have 3 copies of the original maps, just to add new spawn exits. That's a lot of memory.

Yeah, it'd probably take Uber all of one day to make all of the updates and changes made on the PC version updated to the 360 version, so if it was only up to them, we would have seen it by now.

I believe Uber is on .8gigs on MNC title updates. They simply don't want to squander their memory limit. Any more doubts? If so, write it on a piece of paper, and stick it in your ***.

Over-used excuse and not the answer to ever single little thing. It's too easy of a scape-goat.

Fact of the matter is they're developing their PC base right now, and as they've admitted they made a few rookie mistakes in their build of MNC for 360 that makes some updates much harder to do and present issues where they have to 'hack' around things to update the title for DLC. The only thing MS can be blamed for is delays, not lack of updates. We could have had another patch by now, which is something I'd almost rather see at this point than DLC.

That said, the 360 will never get updates like a PC because the PC isn't a closed/proprietary system and can be updated basically at-will. Its a fertile ground for developing. The 360 will only show the end results of those updates + tweaks for the console. The pity is they havent even started, so by the time they do and then sbmit it, it'll probably be another month after that (due to MS delays) before we even see the update. That fact right there irks me.. the longer they take to get the ball rolling, the more we lose out,.. but other than that Uber has given no indication that they will drop or lower support for the console.. heck, most players are on the 360.. it's their bread and butter for the time being, they'd be dumb to abandon it. Eventually they'll need to milk us for that DLC $. Just wish they'd hurry up already.

Black Ops is the only game XBox thought was important enough to deserve a break.

    http://forums.xbox.com/35049238/ShowPost.aspx

As you can see in the thread, Microsoft didn't want to look back torwards a big seller compared to PS3, so they gave in. Other than that, they won't approve any title updates for any games over the limit. ACCUMULATIVELY over the limit. Please read the suggestion above if you have any more doubts. If you need a piece of paper or pencil, I will supply it.

Today's posts brought to you by the word "accumulatively".

Accumulatively, serving the additive community since c.1600.

Well, thank goodness at least two people agree with me on this. And if everybody else has a perfect mind and a right to see at least any changes coming out soon (even if they are minute) then perhaps Uber should consider it soon? Regardless of what anything to do with Microsoft has on it.

All that said,.. the 4MB limitation is absurd and does make things difficult. The fact they ever sold 360's without internal hard-drives haunts us to this day. Also.. the overall game size limit for Arcade games was increased not too long ago, and gamerscore/achievement points per game were upped several times.. so you never know. It's unfortunate not everything in the game for the 360 is optimized for that as best as possible, but it's not the end of the world. From all indications theres at least a couple more decent updates headed our way, eventually.
