As someone who jumped the gun, although a whole thread of people were actively clicking the verify files button in the launcher for over an hour, I do apologize but when I saw an update downloading I assumed, then when I saw beta in the main menu for the game it looked confirmed to me. I should have probably figured you guys would have taken the smart road and released the patch for alpha first to see if it even downloads or runs, then wait for alpha to have all downloaded it and stressed test it for a while, then do all that hard work to activate beta keys and hand them out and all, then once beta was completely downloaded by the participants it would be beta. I was probably way ahead of the system.
So I just picked up my commander with the lander pod thingy. Turns out it can also fly units across the planet as an air-like unit. And the commander can shoot from it. I was flying my commander over the enemy base, shooting fabricators down from above. Then after I flew to another planet, I got into a commander duel. Both of us got in our transports and started an epic flying commander mecha battle. Pretty much reenacting Code Geass all over again. Please please please keep this in the game Uber, it's too awesome to not let us do!
I'm sitting here in class wishing I was home, guess its for the best though since I wouldn't be able to update yet because I use Steam. Hopefully it does update for steam by the time I get home though
Steam can update, with alpha acces, as far as I know now. However, from what I know, beta isn't out though.
update is sometimes delayed for steam because they have to update themselves first but when update is a go lets start
