It is physically impossible to play this game alone now.

No. Learning is how you get skill. I already know all the tactics. But when there's two people of the same skill level as me on the enemy team, I will more than likely lose, as it's a 2v1.

Disagree with what you're getting at. Yes, when you first start, learning is the most important. But if you already know the tactics and the strategy...you don't have anything else to learn. Now, it's just mastering what you do know and getting your timing down right. That only gets done by facing people who have equal or greater skill than you.

There is a difference between facing someone better than you and facing a team of 3-6 coordinated people who will then proceed to steamroll you. We have a problem with the latter.

Yes. And when there's two of them, equal skill, they have the advantage. Which usually translates into a win unless I also have someone to back me up. In the scenario that is being described, I do not. Thus, it's a loss.

    It's simple math.

I, like many of the forum dwellers, am better than vast majority of the people who play the game. By myself, I can deal an impressive streak and play the objective. But I'm no miracle worker. With incompetent help in a team game, a loss is nigh guaranteed.

Lol. I do. But when you're trying to push bots, or kill pros, constantly running around the map isn't exactly gunna get you anywhere.

Don't mean to derail this thread, but the pedantry in it makes me happy.

Also, I too find winning a game without a team to be very, very unlikely.

I'll admit. I had to google that word.

It was entirely possible until about a week ago, at least for me. It would be a couple of back and forth games, and quite a bit of fun.

The opposite problem exists for the teams. I rage quit the other day, which I rarely ever do, because having played with totally retarded teammates for hours, I joined a game where we were up against 4-5 club tags. Soon two of our members left. Then the one other decent player on my team left, so I bailed. One of the opposition msg'd me about the rage quit and he explained that they'd been waiting 20 minutes for a game, only to have the opposition all quit. And to IPUR3 EVIL (I think) sorry again for quitting.

You're missing the point. When you come across a full team of players who have the skills, but you're the only one on the other team with half a brain the game is not fun to play. Being pinned in you're base because you are clearly outmatched team wise leaves little room for tactics. 1 or 2 players vs 6 coordinated ones makes for a really lopsided game. With a mercenary playlist, at least you can even it up a bit.

Aw, they waited 20 minutes for a game since they made sure they had host and ran off all the opposition. GASP!

Okay, other people get it. I was starting to wonder if I had worded it wrong, or something.

I can't say I feel much sympathy for those guys. Really, unless it was the very first time they had done that, it should've been pretty obvious that was coming.

It's come to the point that where if I find a team of retards on the enemy team, I'll try just hard enough to not let them win, but not steamroll. Otherwise, instead of having a semi fun game for an hour, I'll be bald in 15 minutes.

And, I have to say, I disagree with this.

On my friends list, the lowest possible number is 49,009.

Now, lets assume he's dead last in everything, and that's the number of MNC player who have ever played, ever.

Now, let's assume that only 10% of these people play often.

That's still over 4,000 people. Nearly 5,000, to be closer to the mark.

There's 16 people to a crossfire, maximum. Assuming all games have that number, the simple math goes down to 5,000 divided by 16. We are left with a possible 312(.5) matches of crossfire going on if all them play at the same time. Lets say one third are playing at any given time. That's still 100 sets of 16 people playing. I seriously doubt majority have teams. And I doubt even more so that those who don't are the minority.

Not to be a ****, but your math is off. There is a maximum of 6 aside for crossfire, or 12 players max. 5000/12=416(417 if you round up), 416*1/3=138. Whatevs. Same result.

Bah. I was thinking 6 to a team, and that translated to 16. My bad.

Oh, and now worries. I was wrong, so, no **** move.

A wise dude once wrote in his sig that "losing is Nature's way of saying that you suck."

Just kidding, I completely agree with you. ;)
The worst part is that it's pretty hard to get a decent measure of a random teammate's skill when you're facing a coordinated enemy. Realistically, the odds of you sticking with any of your teammates after getting crushed by an opposing team are pretty low.

I think the current lobby system only exacerbates any population issues. The more difficult it is to play solo, the fewer people play the game. It's pretty hard to get into the game when you're pinned in your base by a decent team while your team of randoms are all rage-quitting.

Just been reading this forum and totaly agree with most of what's being said, therefore as I currently have no regular players of the game on my friend list and am getting increasingly frustrated at getting killed by coordinated players in a party while my braindead team mates get slaughtered I need some people that actualy know what they are doing. my gamertag is Rednaxela179, recently I've been playing as a tank but I dabble in several othe classes, the majority of the time I post possitive k/d ratios (only when the other team is extremely good I post negative) so to summarise I need help :) Thank you
