I'd say skill because it takes some degree of skill to attain juice right before or during overtime, or juice off a lazer blazer (which if I can do that, your team deserves to lose lol). Luck plays a hand for every team each game, but it takes skill to bring the ball down for good in the end.

Reality, regardless of what term you use to describe it. Just accept it.

You can say what you want, but if the other team has zero turrents, little kills, and 50% or less on their money ball their losing. The problem comes from when you have to rely on your bots to get their money ball down. A team with assassins, gunners, and tanks can stop your bots from reaching their money ball every time. Oh and if we are taking about basketball, do they go into overtime if one team is winning? Or do they go into overtime, when the game is tied?

I've def. been through this situation before. I'm pretty sure a lot of us have. I was thinking about having a both option, but i figured everybody would have just chosen that one and i wouldnt really have gotten any real feedback. BTW, is that pic, Justin Beiber???

OT depends on the right mix of classes. The fact is that some characters take more damage away from the money ball then others. So you can do really well with certain classes all match long, but when it comes to overtime and your ball drops you still lose. It doesn't mean "your team was so bad"

Problem is your team doesn't score a point until you destroy the moneyball. You don't get points for almost making a basket, you get points for making it, and none for not making it. You don't get a point for partially destroying a moneyball.

It's tough to say. I'd say it's more about timing. Good luck getting good timing can beat bad luck skill if the timing is right. But a skilled team knows to fight for control before OT.

    Lawsuit incoming from Daniel Tosh.

OP: I would say luck. Skilled teams will have map/juice control before OT hits. Most of the time.

If Daniel Tosh gets MNC and goes 95-0, I'll remove it from my sig.

Overtime (to me) is just running into your opponents base, shoot the moneyball regardless of hostiles, dying, and repeat. Sometimes it work (yeah, I'm a bit surprised too) and sometimes it doesn't.

    So I think it's luck.

I can't see the luck factor. I really can't. The only "luck" involved would be having people who weren't in position. If your team isn't ready, it's their fault. If it's not their fault, it's the enemy team's fault for not letting you get ready. This is because you weren't being aware, or you were shut down. Neither of these involves more luck than skill in comparison to the rest of the game.

Skill. Skilly skill skill skill skill skill skill skill skill skill skill skill skill skill skill skill skill skill skill skill skill skill skill skill skill skill skill skill skill.

    Skill.

Take, for example, whenever my friends and I go all Support on Steel Peel and sit back in our base building and hacking turrets and laying firebases EVERYWHERE. Technically, the other team has utter map control, but their entire team can't blitz past multiple 3.3 FreezyPops to touch our 3.3 KablamIts for all the hurt gun and firebase trolling in our little corner of the map. Shortly before overtime hits, we all have juice and make our way to the moneyball, only to blast it to pieces three seconds after overtime hits.

Which team do you think had the upper hand the entire match: the team cooped up behind the glass in their base, or the team that had the entire center arena to themselves? Even if we were terrible players, knowing when to blitz the ball for overtime is a basic competency skill in MNC.
