A broken record, as always - and I'm doing backup vocals. WYSIWYG is great, but it's okay for what you see to be a mystery box, quickly followed by the units inside. Especially given that you usually won't get an alert until the units inside pop out and start wrecking a base.

I certainly don't mean to be antagonistic, but that remains my view. With luck, we'll get some form of proper dropship before then to round out the invasion arsenal.

I thought you guys used either notepad or something way out of my league. nope. LOL

For an editor, a lot of us here use either Sublime Text or Visual Studio. Since I don't compile much (other than full builds), I use sublime and a terminal. For people making changes rapidly in the engine, Visual Studio I think has a faster iteration time, unless you customize your Sublime setup to integrate the compiler commands. Visual Studio is a still a great IDE.

That Sublime Text looks fantastic. Is it fairly beginner-friendly?

So you guys code on Mac? Interesting.

I use Coda at the moment, and I'm pretty happy. I will give a try to Sublime Text one day.

Sublime is Windows and Mac.. I do most of my work in Windows, though I still have it running on my Mac Book too. As for ease of use.. getting started with it is dead simple, but the complexity lies in all the extensions and customization you can do to it. So.. it's pretty much as complex as you want it to be. :)

I use Notepad++ for a lot of my stuff on Windows but I've been looking for a good replacement for it in Linux. Sublime definitely looks like a good option.

We were spoiled with new builds every couple of weeks. Now this new build is breaking a new record release time the waiting is getting annoying

It's obvious, we will be getting a new build on Valentine's Day. The day of love and robotic warfare.

It would be stupid if they just wait for valentine day to release the build. I assume they release it when the build is stable/done!

heh i was joking. But it would be excellent if they did, with an extra valentine's day treat. Like a heart shaped planet smash explosion just for this build :p

Actually, they may well be waiting for Valentine's day so that they don't screw over those of us who have an SO... because we'd be playing nonstop all weekend.

    Bravo, UBER.

Visual Studio is pretty standard. Don't read too much into them using a Mac though, they have to support Mac after all... LOL only good reason I can't think of to use 1
