What kind of a fixes you have planned for the issue of commanders being left floating in space when the target asteroid is launched or destroyed? Also in one match recording, IIRC, a launched asteroid was left floating on a weird orbit (but not re-launchable towards a new target) when it was launched towards another asteroid but before it hit it that target asteroid got launched away.

And what should happen if you destoy a Halley after the asteroid has been launched but before it hits its target?

That's the Orbital and Deep Space radar. Sadly, it still doesn't have a minimap icon. :p

Metabolic, when you used the area command to place the advanced metal extractors in your base, i screamed and danced like a little girl. It becomes so hard to spot all the t1 extractors inside the base.

    So useful... so useful...

Didnt get to watch the stream yet, but an area command for replacing mexes? Oh, so very nice. Man how I waited for that.
    Really great addition.

    Thanks Uber ;D

Don't forget the larger anti-nuke radius.

    Did they buff it again?

Because in build 58197 they increased the anti nuke launcher from 200 to 300. So that's already been done – unless they increased the radius to something larger than 300.

With the new Deep Space radar (DSR) (which are actually telescopes) model, it made me think about interferometry.
For those who don't know what is it : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interferometry
tl;dr version : 2 smaller antennas separated by 100m is as good as 100m wide antenna and much much cheaper. That's why Planetary Resources builds a large fleet of tiny space telescopes.

This property in our physical world could enchance a part of the gameplay. The DSR would have a range in the solar system map and each additional DSR would raise the range around the planet where they are built proportionally to the distance between the DSRs.

With this change, it would make sense to add more than one DSR in the entire solar system and build them as spaced out on a single planet + on several planets.

It would remove the binarity of this feature : I see the entire solar system or I see nothing.

The video also shows a fluid transition for an asteroid from the orbital trajectory to the planet smashing.
    No more weird transition. :)

Deep space radar. If you look at the info text at the bottom of the screen when he focuses it you can read it.

Does it have an opening animation? It looks like it can fold up a'la the TA ARM solar collector :)

There's still a weird transition. It flies toward the planet at full speed, then it suddenly adopts a much slower circular orbit around the planet until it finds its destination and dunks itself like a nuke.

I don't think the Single Laser Defence Tower does either? (It's just a diamond)

Yes, it does! Just saw that in the twitch stream. Looks fantastic.
I wonder if it closes up as well when under attack or in energy conservation mode.

Edit: And it does in fact close up again, when you run out of power. Energy conservation wasn't shown, but I wouldn't be surprised if that works, too.
