That WAS part of my question to you, smart-boy. And of course Uber's lack of communication towards the fanbase is part of the problem, until they tell us what they're planning to do for us at least once a week then perhaps all of us would shut up about it and we wouldn't have these kind of threads. Sure, the Steam community is fine about it because Uber always address towards THEM. How are we supposed to know what Uber are doing about the whole update problem? Maybe nothing at all, that's why they're keeping their mouths shut about it.

How about I put a bottom line and end the argument.

It ain't great, but Uber is not indebted to make DLC for you , me or anyone else. A long wait is to be expected for Microsoft to ratify it, or whatever the hell they want to do with it. Why do we have to endure this wait? Because Uber Entertainment is not named Treyarch or Bungie, and Uber is not MS first-party.

As for what you call 'excuses', they are probably a mistake made by a company that has no experience of Microsoft. Remember that Monday Night Combat is Uber's first game, ever.

We have a brilliant game in MNC as it is and we should just play it and enjoy it. Wait patiently and have some faith.

Nobody has still answered me why Uber can't keep us informed with anything at the moment.

Well, congratulations. It was a non sequitur, with absolutely no relation to what I was actually saying.

So I ignored it, as I thought surely Gentleman isn't just coming out here and changing the subject all of a sudden for no apparent reason, and this bit which ACTUALLY DEALS WITH WHAT I SAID, however condescendingly, must be the bit meant for me.

It appears I was wrong, and you really were accusing me of not answering a question that hadn't been asked.

Anyway, I still have nothing to say on that subject. I'm not part of Uber. I don't know why they haven't been communicating with us.

    What's your point?

Paid DLC for a multiplayer game like MNC is a slippery slope, even if it does get through MS certification. For a game like MNC, you don't want to fragment the game playing community between those that bought DLC and those that haven't. It could play havoc with matchmaking and getting full games.

This isn't Halo or CoD we're talking about in regard to player numbers. If MNC does DLC, it almost needs to be a mandatory update to ensure the player base remains solid. I've noticed that it is getting harder to find good, full games than it used to be. Add in DLC that isn't 100% across the player base and I can only imagine how difficult it would be.

I appreciate this thread for what I think it really is...just a cry out for more to play in 360 MNC because we really dig the game. Sometimes we express it in some pretty direct ways, but the underlying message is still a positive one.

The Xbox community for Monday Night Combat is bigger than the Steam version. We've sold more on the 360 version and naturally it makes perfect sense to keep updating the 360 version. So why haven't we and why are we still working on Steam updates?

Steam as a platform is in the hands of the developers to control (and break) and update as often as we can make content. It's also allows us to test out concepts like All-Star Rating, balance issues, get immediate feedback and put out content without worrying about memory or size issues. It's just easy from a developers perspective and it caters to how we like to develop.

Xbox Live on the other hand has a much bigger community, the hardware is essentially the same for everyone, and its easier for the players to party up, everyone has a mic, and there are more MNC players on it. The platform has a longer test cycle and more rigorous certification process that takes time and there's a significant cost on the the developers to put out new content.

We're in the process of upgrading our Unreal 3 engine to the latest version which will allow us to support both 360 and PC versions of MNC better going forward. One the biggest time sinks for us on MNC 360 was the UI system and how long it took to make simple changes which will change with the engine update and us switching to Flash/Scaleform for the UI. During this transition, we're using the Steam version to test out things.

We haven't forgotten about the 360 but there won't be an update until we get everything switched over to the new engine (in progress now) and we figure out with MS on the best way to update the 360 version and continue to update in the future. It will be a pretty significant update that will contain a lot of the content, bug fixes, and balance (where appropriate) that was done for Steam.

We're not going to give out weekly or daily timelines right now because stuff changes rapidly. We understand your frustration and you want 360 updates ASAP and we're working on it. Also, we need more people to help and that's why we're hiring right now. Thanks.

I reported this post for foul language.

I understand what the devs are going through, and never made a big deal about all of this, but I just would like a timeframe. Asking a weekly and daily is too much but asking for an estimated month seems more than reasonable.

"We are shooting for 3 months" "Fully switching over to the new engine will take 6 months" or something like that. I know a bunch of people say, who cares blah blah brink will be out. For me it's well I technically don't know if it will be out in 2 months, or ever. Like my research papers I've done. It takes months preparation and I always tell my teachers well yeah I'm working on it but I don't know how much longer till I'm finished. In the end they don't even get a research paper..

    And, I called it.

No, seriously, Nice going Eka. I've been trying to get some calm going in the forum myself, but it appears that takes a dev :) .
