I don't like the Spunky Cola map.

Make sure it has at least silver speed, then. The ability to jump around on the pillars out of spawn makes Sniper so totes OP and invincible, to boot!

I like Spunky Cola because people don't check behind walls before my firebase rapes them.

I also like it because it is pink and no call of duty brown.

Yeah, its pretty much the only map where you can have a FB out in the open like that. Although, as we play this map more and people become familiar with the layout... its becoming obvious that it won't last.

I hate snipers because of the TDM mentality of most of the players. I think most COD players end up snipers in mnc.


Most snipers don't help their teams with the goals of the game, they are just in it to rank up lots of kills and brag about K/D ratio - which does not equate to winning a match in MNC.

Then you get in a debate with them and they are typically unreasonably and ask if they should just nerf their awesomeness and that it is no fun winning the match in 4 minutes and a bunch of other bs.

Maybe sit in the back by your bot spawn? Or down low on the left near your rocket turret. Seems like a good spot to cover bot spawns and bottom mid. Leave the top to assault players.

As for the map though, it's great. Love playing assasin and jumping off the spunky cola bottles while cloaked to get an advantage point. It also seems to be the best map for shurikens for some reason. So many walls to bounce them off of, the ejectors are kinda useless for ring outs but great for clearing tons of bots in the middle and slowing down gunners to shuriken.

I was really worried about this map due to the perceived smallness based on the pictures. I figured if the enemy team was better, they would be in your spawn immediately. Short games were what I was expecting.

After playing it, I LOVE IT. The Action is very centralized, frantic, and balanced. Every class has multiple areas that play to their strengths. Ejectors/Turret nubs are in unique locations and Turrets are pretty easily defended.

Great job on the new map Uber.

And my grenade launcher actually serves an important role other than picking/pissing off snipers!! :shock: :lol:

OMG, this is one of the greatest parts of this map. So many angles to bounce grenades.

I tried the "map control" sniper, Gold RoF, Silver Skill recovery, bronze armor. I placed an ice trap in the gap by their spawn exit, and up top right above it until I could place three traps. I leveled flak to level 3.

This was effective. I could snipe the bots through the gap in the wall, and duck to the side if I was engaged by an enemy pro to lure them into the frost trap. I effectively kept the other team from advancing past midfield, except for loner flanking assaults which were dealt with rather easily by my team, or an assassin that sometimes managed to get me despite the frost trap (I'm bad, remember?)

Level 3 flak is GREAT for this map due to the narrow exits from the spawn to the area of action.

You guys seriously use flak against bots? LOL. You should be headshotting them with Sniper 3, you get more juice and you don't waste a skill.

First of all, I'm not a COD Sniper. And killing pros helps your team. I'm an offensive Sniper, I like to kill turrets, bots and pros. This map just doesn't let me do that, like SnappyGuy said there isn't that many options for offensive Sniper.

NO. YOU CAN'T BE IN THE WIDE OPEN LIKE THAT WITH A SNIPER. YOU HAVE TO BE IN AN AREA THAT YOU CAN CONTROL WITH TRAPS, OR ELSE ASSASSINS WILL SNEAK UP ON YOU. /CAPS RAGE.

Oh yes, you people hate Snipers because they're doing what they're supposed to be doing. Crowd control and suppresion. If you hate people for playing their character in the best way possible then go cry overpowered somewere else. Cause I don't give a sh**

I like that strategy, but what if I get killed by something stupid? How will I get back and control that area again in a map so small? What if an assassin is there to help me with the flanking assaults? Wouldn't it be better to not waste flak on bots, and to use it on the flanking assaults and using Sniper 3 for bot suppression?

Sure you can. That's exactly how I play my Sniper class. Ask anyone I play with, when I play Sniper, I'm in the middle of a bot lane in the middle of the map.

Well I don't use armor upgrades, only bronze so it's necessary.

Just saying that it can be done, and it can be done effectively.

With armor upgrades ya, but that's not how we do. I like RoF 3 for killing bots and turrets. You can get a lot of juice from RoF gold Sniper 3ing a large group of bots. One times I juiced 21 times lol.

There are plenty of good things about this map for Snipers:

• - Plenty of locations to catch people by surprise with traps.
  - The only map where one explosive shot can hit both bot lane waves.
  - HUGE open area on your side of the map to easily snipe attackers.
  - Easily Flak-blocked hallways.
  - Annihilator in plain view from nearly any angle.

and more.

Its a very good map for Snipers.
