There are no gapshots in the scramble... just gremlins, bouncers, buzzers, and scramblers. Also, if anything, I'd suggest a newbie use Tank not Support in the scramble. Season blitz is a good one to practice the various classes on... maybe that's what you meant to say.

I agree that blitz mode is a great way for new people to get some practice on the fundamentals. Message to all new people and even some veterans -- LEARN HOW TO KILL BOTS. Every character class has 2 weapons, and they have differences in range and also in power against bots. Learn what works at what distance for each class against the bots, and be able to push bots in a crossfire game. Crossfire is not a deathmatch!

I know this is a lil off topic, but since the update, the base Support is awful. The absence of a fire rate endorsement makes his heal gun nearly useless for keeping turrets alive while under attack, and takes forever to get juice while healing.

Not trying to shoot holes in your strategy. Blitz with Support is probably the best and fastest way for new players to make enough money to unlock their first custom class.

Something else that may have influenced this is, if you were playing against most or all 99's in your demo games, you may have been playing against coordinated teams. This will definitely up the "*** handed" factor, even for players who have some experience.

Stick in there and be willing to learn from other people, use the strategy forum, and you'll be hanging in there with the best in no time.

Gapshots are in Scramble. But I'm pretty sure they stop spawning in later rounds.

In my humble opinion, it's well worth it gut it out all the way to 99. I mean, who doesn't want a third barrel on their minigun as a gunner, or instant death backstab without the katana as an assassin, or unlimited flight as an assault, or unlimited air strikes as a support, or invincibility while deployed as a tank, or auto-aim as a sniper?

Getting to 99 has its perks, does it not?
