We indeed have pretty strict laws on that, however cases where games have green blood or none at all are usually self censored titles. There is a 18+ rating for games and most games of that category have blood and gore. Games that are too bad can be end up with no rating at all which disallows any commercials for them and means selling only to 18+ as well, breaking them from a business context since they cant sell well that way. So some companies rather have 16+ and thus remove stuff, but I feel it has gotten less lately and generally most games get a 18+ at least, uncensored.
My top 6 games would be: 1. Deus Ex 2. ESIII:Morrowind 3. Total Annihilation 4. UT99 5. Crysis 6. System Shock None of these are on here. Pretty sure the list is a noob...not me for not playing Wii games.
Just wait until the next US school shooting which is going to happen in the next month guaranteed because gun laws are too British or whatever.
To be fair I think the sheer act of playing Dear Esther and enjoying it lowered my score to -50 before I even started
Wow, I was expecting to be berated to high hell for enjoying a game with no "game" X'D seems the cool thing to do these days.
I enjoyed Dear Esther. It wasn't perfect by any means, but it was a step in the right direction. Gaming can be a good storytelling medium and gaming can be art.
I think there's room in the medium for more stuff like Dear Esther, Gone Home and The Stanley Parable - alongside traditional AAA-titles and more skill-based stuff. The thing that always irritates me is when people complain about what is and isn't a game - gaming is and can be varied and have a whole spectrum of content within it. People don't complain about a film "not being a movie" when it's not a blockbuster explosion-fest. E: On top of that, I can't wait for VR to hopefully boom and become more commonplace, because these sorts of games are basically made for that sort of "full immersion"
**** you buzzfeed, I didn't click on any phone games. Make a proper tool or **** off. And don't belittle me by calling me a 'fearless warrior'. ****. Yes I know that's exactly the reaction they wanted. They got it.
Seems like there's a bunch of noob gamers in this thread. make way for the standard gamer master race please.
I've put 1,500 hours at least into Heroes of Newerth and I still suck at it. I blame my team all the time, so I'm pretty sure that makes as much of a gamer as anyone could be
I was going to berate you, but not for enjoying Dear Esther. Instead for HOW COULD ANYONE NOT HAVE PLAYED POKEMON?! But then I read the rest of the thread and was like. "Oh, okay."
