How do you feel about the new all-star leveling system?

It's another reason for players to quit before matches begin or bitch once they're over.

But it does increase MNC's longevity.

level 77 - 936000 (halfway)
level 80 - 1,003,000
level 90 - 1,413,000
level 94 - 1,590,000
level 96 - 1,685,000
level 98 - 1,783,000
level 99 - 1,833,000
level xx - 1,883,000 (full bar)

I wasn't able to get the exact numbers, but they're fairly accurate.

i thought this the very first time i saw it in MW1. and i followed through with my gut instict, hell no, i didnt do it.

what followed was a mass of jerks, usually crying after losing a game, calling you women's genetalia for not doing it. this makes perfect sense, i just am not a man because i dont feel like repetitively leveling over and over again from 0 to 99 and back...

no, seriously, dont do it if you really dont wana. i wont. i will most likely hear about it, from the bad kids i beat who are 99 fully-prestiged, telling me im somehow not playing the game as intended, and how that means more than the asskicking i fed them through a sillystraw.

if you want me to play the game as it was "intended", then why dont you play the game as it was "intended" and quit losing ridiculously like your brand new at the game and just hacked your level...

"intention" of the game =/= leveling and THEN BEING FORCED to relevel over and over again

"intention" of the game = your level, especially when its 99 all star, representing your experience and skill

actuality of the game = your level usually shows you hack or boost or care way too much

I have to agree with this. It only takes a matter of time until everyone in the game will be an allstar lvl 99. This is usually what happens when leveling is based on points and not experience. Even though points should equal experience if you've played long enough. Oh well, TIME TO MOVE UP, BY MOVING DOWN.

Lifetime earnings =/= skill, i'm still in the top 250, and i'm pretty good, i just can't get on a lot

All-Star should be fun. I'll like bonus custom classes for going All-Star... but I'll settle for pretty stars next to my name.

Yeah Bro, on MW1 there was no incentive to prestige, but on WAW the extra cutom slots were nice.

You guys give levels WAY too much credit.

Want to level fast? Play blitz for a couple of weeks, then go get smoked in Crossfire.

I would love to know what the little icons mean.

From what I've read, they're all bots, starting at slim bots. Anyone know how many "prestiges" there are or what each symbol is?

I was hoping for something that would be more appealing to the eye. Perhaps a golden star behind the rank number. Now we just have a extra white box next to another box with a tiny bot in it.

I feel the same way. I thought it was going to be a gold star next to your number in gold. That would have looked cool. I can't even tell what the symbol is. From the discussions i'm taking it to be a bot. Also, the symbol doesn't appear next to your name when you've killed someone. So it looks like you were just killed by a regular 56 not an all-star 56.

apparently, most video game skills come in the form of rank level, which come in the form of playtime, which is stored as a digital number, which can be boosted for or hacked at the cost of MSP or PAYPAL...

therefore, video game skill is a direct reflection of how many MSP/PAYPAL you paid?

it's one of the few things about the update i don't hate, but i wish it wasn't compulsory. i like my 99, and i dont want to only have it for one level until i hit the max.

Now all the nubes are lvl 99 =P

So I'm not sure I understand the icons yet.

I have a tiny icon, and some other people with icons have larger ones.

I'm at 3,276,477 earned. Anyone know what the different-sized icons are?
