How did you find Planetary Annihilation?

Mine was word of mouth. A friend of mine who shared a mutual love of Total Annihilation showed me the kickstarter last year.

A while back, I was searching for upcoming RTS titles because there haven't been any great ones in a while now. I think I specifically looked for Supreme Commander 3 to see if there was going to be another one, but instead I saw the name "Planetary Annihilation" and found the teaser on youtube (as well as some early pictures of structure/unit comparison). I was instantly hooked once I saw that it was basically Supreme Commander (which I loved) on a scale or many planets, and with planet smashing.

Browsing SC FA videos of nukes, saw the concept video, and the planet smashing and instantly wanted to try it out. Planet smashing. Unfortunately very rare in gaming.

what's the counter for that one again?

it's like when you're playing rock paper scissors and someone whips out "helicopter!", it's cheating no?

I think I found about this via a YouTube binge of FAF casts or my random Kickstarter searches.(around FEB 2013). Either way I saw the concept video and threw cash at the screen for the 60$ dollar and I've been happy ever since. Got my best friend to buy it as well, even though his computer is not fully optimized for it .
