    They are the ultimate Dox / slammer defence. nothing you can do about them with amphibious units alone- you need subs or frigates to destroy them.

    They're great on maps like the settons remake as it prevents your opponent having free reign with Dox everywhere...

    yes they could do that for a while now
    it is for against dox and slammers and other possible amphibious units

    It should be a different texture (which i cant seem to see very well in your picture) but yes they should and that is highly preferable to the alternative of the possibility that mines can't exist on water at all... :)
