True, not all games need snipers. Not all games need guns either, nor do all games need a sneaky class that generally breaks the rule of (shoot things). More variety is always welcome as long as the pieces of that variety are unique, powerful enough to be relevant, and not so powerful that they dominate the game. Sniper requires intelligence to reach and once you're in his comfy couch, he's at a severe disadvantage.

So let me guess you played gunner and got your face riped off? No ok why would'nt a team based game have a sniper. The class is overpowerd in this game but guess what, sniping is one of the hardest things to do in any game, you can hold down a trigger and claw with the A button all day long if you think its so amazing. But get one thing straight sniping should be in every game, and if you dont like it the dont play a shooter game.

also, gunners have their own unique little counter against snipers. Just give em a hard time aiming by raining mortars on them if your bad with it, or if you're good with mortars then...well use it.

Well, mortars are good for detonating traps, but I really feel bullets are best for the body.

Mortars don't have damage fall off, and don't slow you down when you fire them. Also, Snipers on the PC version often run ROF and Clip Size-based builds, so you can really scare them off with well-aimed Mortar shots from long distance.

yep, with your gunner 3 skill 1 good shot is all it takes to send them running those few steps back into their spawn room

Well seems to me that your complaining about what the sniper (in your eyes is "Suppose" to do "You have good snipers that'll sit back and force the game into overtime" and what people have the freedom to do as what they want. I'm a good sniper sometimes. Sometimes I sit in the back and kill bots sometimes i do that and kill Pro's in the frontlines. Their easy to kill. Just stop complaining and go kill them. Not like its that hard...
