OMG why are foreigners really in to cosplays? Not hating, just wondering. I can buy a lot of better Akiba related things like galge with that money... Oh and no, I don't ever buy figures. Too expensive and pretty worthless.
I live near Akiba. 13-15 minutes of train. No need of flight tickets. Not expensive. I buy second hand games in general. I don't have the mentality of Otaku(s) who don't play second hand galges because for them, second hand galges are not pure anymore. Such weirdos.
The question mark implies I do not know the meaning of the word, not that I don't understand the context. To rephrase myself, what is Akiba and galge. From your response, I can assume Akiba is a city and galges are a generic brand of games.
Akiba-kei (秋葉系?) or Akiba-chan'' (秋葉ちゃん?) is a Japanese slang term for "Akihabara style." Akihabara is a district in Tokyo where many otaku, or obsessive anime, manga, and video game fans are known to gather. A bishōjo game (美少女ゲーム bishōjo gēmu?, literally "pretty girl game"), or gal game (ギャルゲーム gyaru gēmu?, often shortened to "galge"), is "a type of Japanese video game centered on interactions with attractive anime-style girls".[1] These games are a sub-genre of dating sims targeted towards a heterosexual male audience.[2]
Lmfao. I've only played 1 galge in my whole life. That galge had 99% science fiction and 1% dating sim.
Thanks. Man, Japan is odd. I've always wondered if Hentai was showed regularly on t.v., because there's whole ******* seasons of them.
