Hopefully 343 does the series well. I honestly don't like it when trilogies have to have a 4th game/movie to milk the franchise. Whether that be Indiana Jones or Gears of War.
Well they moved towards new enemy teams. That's a start. Fight the same morons since the first game got monotonous.
You mean the one that actually had new enemies? How could you possibly want something new in an established series? Blasphemy.
I like ODST because it seems like a structurally sound game in the Halo series. It has good linear progression, like a really awesome playground where different weapons, routes or paths lead to different results.
Personally in order of how much I like them from most to least: Halo PC Halo 1 Redux Halo 1 Halo 2 PC Halo 2 Halo 3 Halo 3 :ODST Halo Reach
From what I've seen from the E3 footage, 343 is really going back to the roots of the Halo storyline. They're addressing the forerunners with the new antagonists the "Prometheans" they're also giving more significance to Cortana. Gameplay wise, it looks like Halo 3 got new guns, vehicles, and mechanics. It looks really well done. I'm a little bit skeptical about the new modifications available, as I'm afraid it'll become higher level=better. Hopefully this isn't the case. This isn't really becoming CoD in any sense. Instant respawn ing is constricted to certain game modes, and has its risks/rewards. I don't know if I'm going to like being able to have custom classes, yet it's compensated by giving weapons random spawn places. I have faith 343 knows what they're doing and are taking a lot of notes from Bungie before the dissapointment that was Halo Reach. The graphics look amazing. It looks like a PC game (if only). Tl;dr Looks good, a bit skeptical on multiplayer. Do want. On the note of the other Halos. I was still stuck on GameCube and PS2 when the old Halos were popular. I picked it up around when Halo 3 came out. I played Halo 3 for a long long long times. I got really good at it, and had so much fun with my friends playing custom games. I hope Halo 4 isn't like Reach in terms of Forge, as Reach's forge ruined Custom Games.
I'll be playing Halo Quadruple just for the single player and maybe Co-op but that's about it. I can't be bothered with Slayer.
I think we know, what majority of the playerbase will be >Plays game >Starts getting really angry and quits when losing
well, for the two weeks after launch, maybe. if chilluns is gonna get the game for Christmas, it'll be blops deux, which really cuts back on the stupid in the Halo 4 community. Then again, the Reach crowd was fantastic, and the tryhard loudmouths stuck with Halo 3, and will play Halo 4, so there's that. Still gonna get the game. But I don't understand why people think this is like Call of Duty. Everyone who has had hands-on time has said it's still Halo.
Ugh... it's almost painful to watch controller movements I'm also still trying to figure out how that battle rifle works. There's almost no room for a bolt to cycle
Im excited for the game. I have no expectations from it, because Reach was not that good, and that was made by Bungie. I think a new approach on this game is whats needed and it will be good. Besides Black Ops 2 is coming out, the 12 year olds are going to fly remote control portapottys or some ****
Da Future! We have obviously moved past bolt firing mechanisms and have moved on to kinetic energy or something. I think Reach was bad because it was rushed, honestly.
