    That Assassin's a doughnut.

Also, I've always found a level 3 Lazer Blazer to be more effective against everything than a level 1 RockIt, so the nerf is obviously needed. I'll have to see myself how the Support plays with his nerfs, but Airstrike spam is of course an issue when there's 3+ Supports on a team.

Also also, I love how the forum notifies me of a new reply being posted, even though I have that box unchecked. (sarcasm)

True, and the nerfing of juice from sniper rounds will fix this somewhat, but people will still do it. Also, a lot of supports will stay and overheal the turret so that it won't die which essentially takes that Support out of the game as well.

My biggest gripe with the nerf isn't so much that it is getting nerfed, but also that the Rockit is getting buffed as well. One of those actions had to be taken, but doing both just swapped their usefulness. A cheaper Rockit that is better against bots? Assassins and Assaults might have an easy enough time dodging a Lv3.3 Rockit when caught unaware but the other classes get eaten. As it is now the classes I play on almost get away from 3.3 Blazers when caught unaware, which isn't to bloody often, and most of my builds only utilize Bronze Armor. Weaken them further and I'll never have to worry about dying to Blazers ever again, especially since smart supports would concentrate their hacks on Rockits.

Infact, with these changes I would not be surprised if people forego Blazers completely in favor of Rockits. Remember, they did fix player damage on the Moneyball with shields up, so bot defense is even more important now. That point alone makes the new Rockits far more favorable over Blazers.

I play sniper exclusively, ranked somewhere around 200s in kills, 300s in earnings or something like that.

First of all, 40 seconds is a fair amount of time, especially when you're talking about early game. My early game strategy on Steel Peel and Ammo Mule is the same on any other map. I start heading down lane as soon as possible, laying fire and traps and hopefully nabbing a couple headshots from people that barely realized the game had begun. This allows my team to secure mid map early on which is a significant advantage.

The problem I have with your strategy is that if at any point in that 40 seconds a support comes along, that's all time wasted. The sniper does not take turrets down faster than a support can heal them. Now a two person team of two snipers or a sniper/tank can take down turrets at long range like nobodies business, but a lone sniper simply isn't well equipped for the job.

Add in the fact that rokkit turrets are getting ready to get cheaper, and I would say that the early game turret destruction isn't a good strategy at all. Also, early turret destruction means that the nub is going to be ready to go by the time your team pushes up close (assuming the enemy is competent at all). The best time to destroy turrets is at the beginning of a base push, not long before.

True. And I simply switch strategies. I gots other angles. EDIT: Also, this is honestly pretty rare. Most supports run out of their base without +healing the turrets as they run by.

Interesting line of thought (and I really will chew on it). In response, I find that never giving them an inch is pretty effective. My mission is to not let them ever have turrets. Ever. The other team is, simply, not permitted to have them. It often causes 2+ players to work against me (and that means I'm keeping them in their base). When playing with friends who are aggressive, this makes map ownership that much easier.

Seeing as how I never run out of targets (turrets/bots/players) I'm obviously not doing *nothing*.

But, so many snipers actually do nothing - i saw a guy work for... way too long... the other day trying to figure out how to take down a firebase with his 2ndary weap. "I'll just save my airstrike," I thought. I had to get on the mic to remind him he had a sniper rifle and could get it from wherever he pleased.

The first thing that came to my mind was that poster in the movie Major League. (anyone)
I just assumed they would be taking bits and pieces off everyday in the same fashion.

There is only one PitGirl (Pit Girl?) and the Assassin is a clone with red hair.

QUESTION: Will anything be adjusted concerning the Sniper's ability to proc explosive rounds on friendly bots/Pros? Explosive rounds would be less of an issue if the Sniper actually has to aim at the Pro instead of simply shooting the Blackjack/Jackbot that is being attacked.

Nope, that is intended. It's a feature of his sniper rifle and it's part of his strategy that you have to take into account when you engage with him.

Yep. I figured/noticed this when I starting playing as the Sniper. Being on the Sniper's side it's not as easy as it appears.

All of the pros are clones, pit girls are clones, even the bots are clones! Well, maybe not clones, but mass produced replicas.

The only character on the play field who isn't a clone is the mascot. That's just a super fan mascot lottery winner in a Steel Peel and money armored suit. Unless the fan is a clone, which is a perfectly valid choice parents have if they don't want to deal with the refertilization and devasectomy operations. It is a lot of paperwork.

This is the only thing I really have a problem with because, as I mentioned in the juice-chaining thread, it's a change that only effects pub-stomps and it'll have no effect on matches with anything close to balanced teams. And while that means it's not a big deal, starting to base balance changes around pubs is a slippery slope.

All of my balance changes are based off of feedback on forums, internal play tests, feedback from the Uber team and other peers, games online (both public and private) and a lot of careful calculating and play testing.

Trust me, it's not like I read complaining on the forums and do some knee-jerk reaction. I try to make every balance change be what's best for the game.

I'm not suggesting you do, I just don't entirely understand why that particular change is necessary. That being said, I very much agree with the other updates and am excited for what's coming the rest of the week. Only thing I'd ask is that Assault stays the same, as I really think he's right where he's suppose to be, and should be the standard by which the other classes are balanced.

Though I should note that me worrying about that change is more paranoia than off any sort of feedback I've heard insinuating that it would happen.
