This is the first someone complained about Gunner. Is the world ending?

Yeah, but you have to be a very slow player. The kind that's both mentally and physically slow, if you catch my drift. To be caught in any of them.

    BRAVO!!!
Thank you! You made my day OP!

I read through the three pages and every point stated to counter a gunner up till now is viable and the one that matters the most in my book:

"Don't charge into a gunners face and expect to get out alive..."

Then again you can easily keep harrassing him as an assault. If he's moving normally he'll be spending 1-2 seconds to spin up to full swisscheese power, and if you can land enough hits on him before he knows he'll be put off, run around always spinning nervous as hell and then you pop up once in a while to tag him to prevent him from regenerating and he's pretty much down. Gunners are no sweat really, but if you go waving your face in front of that spinning barrel of his then...

    The rest is self-explanatory.

Because it's totally impossible for a gunner to be on the same elevation as you (making you dead quickly)

Every class ends up OP in their own ways depending on what situation and skill difference arises. Just educate yourself on how to deal with it properly instead of using the same proven failing method over and over.

Reminds me of that thread when someone complained about Support's shotgun being OP.

When I play gunner that shotgun takes me out in no time flat if that sneaky little bugger comes up behind me. Shotguns need a nerf naow !!!! :D

Seriously though: there are so many ways to kill a gunner and when he respawns it takes forever to get back into the game.
He's really dangerous when he has teammates watching his back but then so is any class.

And I think his shoulders are so big because that's where they store the sniper bullet magnets. One in each shoulder so that the bullet is attracted to the spot perfectly between them

Why you would be on the same elevation as a gunner in the first place within his swisscheese range as an assault beats me. :|

Gotta love these threads with no actual evidence to back up your theory.

Does the Gunner have counters? Yes, every class does. Is it overpowered, because your class aren't able to beat him if you face an equally skilled player? Definately not.

Please nerf Rock, Paper is fine, regards Scissor.

To be fair, some classes are significantly harder to counter than others. Requiring either far more effort for less reward (sniper) or far more practice to avoid their strengths (assault/assassin.) or simply something that rarely exists: teamwork (sniper, support who is hugging their firebase.)

    Can't tell if joking:

Cloak dashing is pointless unless you're trying to avoid bots (which you shouldn't be) because you kick up a trail of dust behind you giving your position away.

I dash while cloaked often enough without being attacked; so long as there's something else going on it seems like few people notice the dust.

You can always just bunny hop while cloakdashing. What is this dust you people speak of?
