I played SR competitively and I know you never did because the community is small enough that i would have seen you. The maps I'm talking about are Nerve, Lobby, Power Station, and Pinnacle. In a 4v4, you NEED a troll, but the troll shouldn't have EV unless he wants to be useless. That's why you have 2 humans. A troll with EV can't even have wired because then he doesn't have essence to harden or even teleport. The standard troll build was wired, tele, AMGs, and of course you're the first to buy a tree. The troll needs a minigun to do his job effectively, I just want to point that out. It'd a different role than pubs, where all you do is play for yourself. If the troll isn't leading the push or there to stop the enemies', then your team is in serious danger.
Btw what is your GT? I still don't remember playing with you. And the shooting through glass is being fixed. Trust me, I get plenty of kills without needing to do that. And **** grenade 3. I can name a few snipers on this site if you want who always shoot through glass.

I agree with you that those maps are a good to play a troll with a minigun for 8 vs 8. Power station is iffy if you are playing a good team. When you come out of the spawn as a troll you're asking to get your butt handed to you for the first three rounds. The small maps are pretty crappy if that's your idea of competitive play. Why are you pointing out things I said in the last message (with a scolding tone)? I said SR was a team game and only one person needs to have certain powers.

You don't actually *need* a minigun to be effective as a troll. Shotgun/smg or rifle/smg is quite often a smarter play due to the spin time on the minigun. As we both already mentioned people will typically just teleport away if you're blazing away with the minigun. But you can kill an elf in the downtime between teleports if you are good with the smg. Humans are much more difficult, but it can be done. You might not even get a hit if you used the minigun. If no one on the other team is playing a troll and you go for minigun you can get screwed by hit and run tactics. It seems rather weak to me to limit yourself to 4 on 4 for competitive play. Smaller maps, smaller teams, and difficult body clearing make things way too easy.

So either you know my gamer tag or you don't. If you don't then how do you know we never played SR together? If you get plenty of kills without resorting to shooting through glass then why do you do it? Saying "they're fixing it" isn't really a valid excuse for using a known exploit. In all the time I've been playing MNC I've seen you once. And I've put a whole crapload of hours playing MNC since it was released.

Go watch any video of any top team or serious match of Shadowrun, there is always a troll because you NEED one. I can't believe you're even trying to argue otherwise. Elves and humans can't teleport away if you AMG them, that's why every troll has them. You only played pubs so I don't expect you to understand, but arguing otherwise is pointless.

If you're only playing 4v4 it doesn't matter because the map is so small (and amgs actually have a purpose). That's not the real game experience because every 4v4 map is attrition.
I can't believe you are trying to tell me how to play with the minigun when you don't even seem to have a clue about its stats.

Blah blah blah I play competetively....

And you didn't spend most of your time playing in public rooms full of amazing players. We kicked out anyone who sucked by one means or another so that everyone was highly skilled. I think thriving and repeatedly coming to the top in that environment is far more difficult than 4vs4 easy mode.

I'm sorry, but you are so wrong about this right now.
