    Hey, you learned from your mistakes!

    You SHOULD just shoot them. They go to smokebomb, grapple THEM outta THEIR skill. That will piss them off. Then, charge them while they are on cooldown.

    Smoke Bomb usually stops assault charge unless you grab them before they actually finish the bomb throw animation.

    This is where Autograpple = free kills. You cannot be moved while performing your smokebomb animation (an ejector might be the exception to that rule, not sure), but you can be grappled, especially autograppled.

    There's been a rediculous number of times I lvl3 charged a Sin that was just starting the smokebomb animation and it was like hitting a wall

    Really? o_O I'm pretty sure I've been chargegrappled while smokebombing before. It might just be that I finished the animation while still in contact with the Assault.

    Yea, I've even seen lvl3 TANK charges act like they hit a wall once the Sin starts swinging her arm down

    There are a ton of situations that you cannot move while performing. Just like the armor nerf wasn't specifically an "assassin nerf" as people like to portray it as.

    Deploying - can't move during start up animation, finish animation, there is a window of time that you can be grappled but can't move.

    Hacking a turret

    Buying Skills

    Buying turret

    Using ejector/annihilator/buying a bot (both of which the Assassin has a HUGE advantage in that she can use these while cloaked making it significantly harder for a sniper to pick her off during the animation.

    When your wonderful autograpple snags a nearby bot - can't move.

    While ice trapped

    After a knockdown from a tank charge

    The smoke bomb animation is less than a second, and gives you a 50% damage reduction if it finishes, has a high chance to out right STOP a tank/assault charge if it finishes. Considering all you gain for such a short animation, plus the fact that the assassin already has an easy way to quickly get out of range of an assault charge (lunge is actually FASTER than a charge, and on a flat surface has a longer range. But irregular surfaces affect it a lot. Gravity can greatly increase its range but going up hill lowers its range.)

    Honestly I can count on one hand the number of times an assault or tank successfully charged me for a kill during the smoke bomb animation.

    I know this is long dead, but this... occurrence just happened and I thought about it. If jet packs for Tank and Gunner burns people, why doesn't the Assault's charge do the same? At the very least, a Blow back feature would be warranted.

    you can't knockdown a sin doing the smokebomb animation using tank lvl 3 charge, and the charge damage is halved.
