    I can't even preview the planets in the system editor as it will crash my system nowadays. But I can run the same system & play normally

    It's related to the fact that the system editor ignores my settings when previewing planets. & my system can't handle that. Side note: no idea where that is (DxDiag.txt)

    As long as you have 64-bit OS it's doesn't mater if your system can or can't handle something: client shouldn't crash.
