Grand Prize vs. Destiny

I honestly really enjoyed watching the games. The series went to three, and I was quite shocked when Destiny blew out Grand Prize at Spunky.

I don't know. Maybe I'm alone in this, but I just like watching good players play.

Im sure if there were more teams around when the game first came out then there would have been teams like grand prize and destiny. Alot of the teams in frag nation were either people put together to form a team who hardly play with each other or groups of friends who play alot but not as a team.

Not cutting anyone out but theres few who have been playing together as long as Grand Prize.

My team I had played with viking for a long time but his lack of faith went to street fighter. The other members of my team have played with each other longer then i have but it has changed. We all usually play together now except for the time zone differences.

I figure if we stick together and learn from our mistakes the future is brighter...

The only time we all actually play together is when we have our matches, it's not like we practice a lot. I've tried to get more players into the competitive side of the game, but the problem is that they think they're already good. They won't admit that they are generally wrong and they won't listen, so they don't improve. I'd love to teach people, but they don't learn. That's why there are no good tanks besides me. By "good" I mean above average, like above Hudson. So hit that ban button again. I think a few hurt feelings are a great trade-off for an overall higher level of play in the community.

Even though youse guys don't all play as a team all the time you play with each other from time to time. I mean sigmar has drifted away from the game but when he plays he hasn't lost his touch. You and miricle are always playing daily and every time push is on hes playing. Bottom line is your team plays daily even if its not together... you all know each other and what you can all acheive.

Youse guys proved yourselves time and time again so you got bragging rights even if people hate your guts. When your good your good...

Theres snipers who ive played when they reach the point that they cant pull off a headshot they panic and die very quick... its almost the opposite with tank.. most tanks dont know how to rail gun.

Your team has balance no matter what part it is and focus.
Someone is always killing bots... someone is always killing pros... someone is always trying to bring the ball down....

Not many teams can do that because they lose focus.

The reason I don't care about the tournament is it is MNC.

Sorry but you shadowrun guys just stick with dead games too long.

Shadowrun was great.. BUT DIED
MNC was great early on but DIED.

By died I mean competitively. MNC competition was great early on. Shadowrun's was AMAZING early on (it did go MLG).

But this game is an arcade game so to me it isn't supposed to be super competitive. Also since it is dead, why should people care about a tournament that it has. I like the tournament so I can play some competition for the game cuz I think the game is fun, but I don't care if I win or lose. I mean you can't even switch teams in a custom lobby for the game.. like cmon

I blame the crappy halo games. Halo 3 killed shadowrun and Halo reach killed mnc (competitively).

I've been saying I'm average for a long time now. My feelings are not hurt.

For the record, Shammas' ban was imposed by Uber before I was ever a mod. Uber, and the global moderators have since enforced any known attempts at ban dodging by any users. Every time you ban dodge, you dramatically lower the chance of ever successfully coming back here.

There are very few exceptions to this rule, and they are granted on a case by case basis.

As for the competitive community, let me communicate my understanding of why most people don't play competitively:

-Its an arcade game that most people spend less time on than a mainstream shooter.

-Its not really balanced or optimized for competitive game play or even private matches in general.

-The people "recruiting" for a competitive cause are often (not always) some of the most grating personalities both in game and on the forums. (Deal breaker for me personally, and I realize I totally annoy the crap out of some people as well.)

Those are the opinions I have heard on many an occasion when discussing higher end play in this game.

No, your idea of "teaching" people is screaming nonsensical crap at anyone who will listen. Then later you like to pretend like you're complete lack of self control was a joke. The reason you can't teach anyone is because no one can or is willing to learn from you. Sadly enough, I learned a lot from watching your game-play, yet when I actually played with you I never wanted to repeat the experience.
The funny thing is, one of the most egotistical players in the game is also the person I believe has done the most to increase the level of play in game, by actively getting privates together and teaching people who don't know how to play in them through leadership and good example: here's lookin' at you kckzi.
