Just wanted to thank you for your excellent categorisation, makes the mod a joy to use. Couple of issues I noticed: 1. The 3v3 map with mini fortresses, the ramps seem to cause the AI to get its armies stuck moving in circles on the ramps. 2. When you put features like the temple wall to seal off part of the map, you're making the map unusable to the AI as it will build beyond the wall with air fabbers not realising it can't pathfind out from there.
Thanks Quitch. 1. Yes I had that issue too on the pyramids map when I tested it in sandbox mode but didn't had that issue when playing against players. The 3rd level ramp seems to be the issue, no matter what I do to try and fix so I might just remove that 3rd level. 2. Didn't think of that, good point. I'll add some unpathable CSGs in the temples on maps that use this.
Yes, all the map packs can be found in the "community mods" section. Once you're on that page, click on the "available" tab, search for "map" or "homie" and you'll find my map pack and all the other great map packs. To install a mod, click on the "install" button on the bottom left of the description panel.
Adding 3 new maps that all follow the same idea / template: groups of 4 players spawn around an hexagon (or 2 for the 16 players version) and make their way towards the enemy's/enemies' hexagon(s). Metal rich, few or no CSGs in the way. - Blitzkrieg bot 4v4 (2 hexagons ; few CSGs) - Beat on the bot 4v4v4 (3 hexagons; no CSGs on the battlefield) - Bot sematary 8v8 / 4v4v4v4 (8 hexagons; few CSGs)
Adding 5 more maps for Wadiya fans. I created these maps using a script that evenly distribute points on a sphere then places up to 4 points around each of them to create a cluster (in other words, the script creates a .pas file with X clusters of Y metal spots on a Z radius planet). I wanted to fix 3 things about randomly generated moons (like Wadiya): - evenly distributed metal so everyone spawns with access to the same amount of metal - space to build factories between the clusters - no random craters in the middle of your base that you have to avoid to build factories "Actarus": 475 radius planet with 42 clusters of 3 metal points. Recommended for 2 to 6 players. "Euphor": 500 radius planet with 76 clusters of 5 metal points. Recommended for 6+ players. "Alcor": 550 radius planet with 97 clusters of 4 metal points. "Stykadès": 650 radius planet with 102 clusters of 4 metal points. Recommended for 10+ players. There's one more map with fixed spawns, it's called "2 croissants", it's a 5v5 map with spawns in crescent shape patterns (team 1's crescent is in the north-south direction, team 2's is east-west); it is made using the "euphor" planet.
@lulamae I made a new version of the 2v2 map of the same name that has narrower lanes (removed the platforms on the sides). The rest is the same as the original so I kept the name, might be confusing though, I probably should switch to something else. The somme 2v2 is great but it's rare to find balanced enough teams to play 2v2 unshared so I kept my favorite part about that map and made a 3v3 map out of it. Here's what I removed:
Oh gotcha, you're only seeing 1 lane, there are 3 of them (it looks like you're seeing half of the planet but you're only seeing a third).
@grandhomie I have a request, if you have the time would you be interested in making some 32 player FFA systems?
New 32p FFA map called "March Madness". 4 main planets (of 8 players each), 1 metal planet and 4 asteroids that spawn every 10 or so minutes.
