The catcher in the Rye- amazing Fables- One of my favorite graphic novels The Bell Jar Animal Farm High Fidelity
Why hello. Good books: Wizard's First Rule Eragon, Eldest, Brisingr Maximum Ride series Zorba the Greek
I've become somewhat of a sucker for books made for teens, no idea why, but they're all i've read lately. The Tapestry series, Harry Potter(well, I started reading them in like 5th grade, always liked them), The Ranger's Apprentice, Percy Jackson, etc. I've read about 5 of the Wheel of Time books, but the female characters in it make me so infuriated that I literally dread reading any more of them. Some great books I read recently are from the Demon Cycle series called The Warded Man and The Desert Spear by Peter V Brett. Oh. And all of the books in The Witcher universe.
I haven't read 1984 in years, but I seem to remember it kind of meandering around in the middle. And Brave New World has orgies. So, yeah. Check out Derek Landy and Eoin Colfer, if you like teen stuff you'll love them.
You hipsters need to read One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. And Animal Farm is an incredibly simple book that they average high school freshman can understand herp derpa lerp i so good at reading me are intellectual.
Simple books can be very fulfilling. Read The Chronicles of Prydain. I reread them this year and still thought they were amazing. Also, if you read books to seem intellectual you are doing it wrong. I personally like my Sci-Fi books to have a message, but my high adventure fantasy books need nothing more than a thrilling tale with sword fights and magic. Stranger in a Strange Land and Dune for the Sci-Fi buffs out there. And for LoTR fans, I heard about an interesting book that I have yet to read. It's called The Last Ring-Bearer, by Kirill Yeskov. Anyone read it?
Geez, you can't make a joke on these forums without somebody misinterperting it  Kinda makes me wonder how people are gonna react to my new sig.
Ender's Game and Ender's Shadow are both good. Kinda cool to read the same story from two different perspectives.
