Yup, it had a full - underwhelming in my opinion - multiplayer mode.

Brutal Legend is an awesome game, might be because I'm a metalhead.

Brutal Legend was indeed a great game, and I enjoyed every minute of it and its DLC. It was a clever RTS game with elements of a third-person adventure game, it had a great soundtrack, plenty of little easter eggs for all you metalheads, a good number of guest appearances, and that touch Tim Schafer has that not many other game devs do. Was pretty good at the multiplayer, too.

I enjoyed Bioshock 2 as well, as the storyline was great (less so than the first, but that's usually to be expected). The multiplayer wasn't TOO great, though. Got ranked high up on those leaderboards until they decided to introduce Rebirthing. After spending all that time getting to level 50, I'd rather not play through it again. >_>

Lars: What do you do with a bunch of kids who just bang their heads all day?

Eddie: *Tear in eye "You start a revolution."

I find the RTS elements a bit difficult to control. Maybe I should roll back the difficulty until I get the hang of it.

The difficulty setting only really affects how much damage enemies deal and take plus a mild affect on how aggressively the enemy army sends out waves of attackers. None of the stage battles in the campaign are really that tough, you've just got to aggressively take control of the fan geysers and it's pretty much downhill from there.

Multiplayer I can't comment on(though I'd assume it'd be more difficult than the campaign): literally every match I played ended up being so laggy that the battlefield was frozen more often than things were not so I just gave up on it :|

Well, I guess I can always play through it again using the characters I disliked playing: Delgado, Rawlings(that healing preacher with deagles), and Jones(the guy that can possess enemies just not in combat).

...I'm kinda sad the final battle and ending were bigger letdowns than I was expecting :|

Brutal Legend was an awesome game. I kinda didn't like that the funny parts tapered off as the game went on and that it went more RTS as it went on. It's like if you bit into an apple and got banana. Sure, a banana is good, but you were expecting something else.

Puzzle Quest +1. Got it, beat it, love it. Wasted plenty of hours in this. Forget about random multiplayer. If anyone has this, I'm willing to do a match or two once in a while. On that topic, Puzzle Quest 2, any good?

Got Toy Soldiers but didnt really get into it much. Price is solid, though, and it seems like it could get more fun in later levels. I think this was around the time I got MNC as well so MNC may have overshadowed it.

The controls were a bit difficult, I'll admit, having gone back to it just yesterday for nostalgia's sake. However, the game melds together well as the story gets further in. What point did you reach, and what difficulty are you running through, by any chance?

Did you ever happen to play on Brutal difficulty? I thought those two last missions were hard as shxt... Maybe it's just me, but I really had a hard time on those two.

I enjoyed Multiplayer for what it was, and hardly ever got lag that badly (although I did get plenty of poor sports that quit out once they lost). But then again, last I checked, my record was 50-4, so I may be a bit biased.

I got to the second battle against Lionwhyte - the glam rock guy - before dropping the difficulty from Brutal to Normal. I'm getting the hang of the controls now, though, and am just about to start a rumpus next to the Sea of Black Tears. Which is more of a lake, really.

You're right, it does all meld together quite well, though the main anti-vehicle units for Eddie are as dumb as a bag of rocks, and refuse to punch enemy vehicles when they could be running ineffectually towards a ranged unit. The individual orders are my last hurdle.

If you can get if for less that $20 pick this game up, especially if you like metal or Jack Black. The world is beautiful and unique, the humour humorous, and hey, even if you don't like metal, you can listen to "Through The Fire and Flames" and have PTSD flashbacks to that time you tried to clear Guitar Hero on Expert.

The XBL demo is very misleading, though - it finishes just as you pull off your epic "Decapitatioooooon", so you don't see any of the RTS elements.

Want to hear something funny, my brother bought Brutal Legend yesterday for $5. When I heard he had the game I instantly grinned. I feel like just driving around jamming out to some classic metal tunes.

Brutal difficulty all the way through. I screwed myself over on my first playthrough on getting the achievements to display in the order that stated I cleared it on Brutal first though: not yet having mastered the RTS elements in the campaign I lowered my difficulty to normal for the battle in the Pleasure Gardens, beat it, returned to the chapter and played it again on Brutal...Then kicked myself when my achievement wasn't unlocked because I lacked credit for clearing the chapter on Brutal that I'd just cleared on Brutal because I had to start from the previous chapter again to earn the credit for it :|

The battles at the Sea of Black Tears are the only ones in the campaign that provide even a hint of difficulty once you've got the RTS elements down pat. It's made easier by the fact that the DD army only attacks in a few waves before running out of pre-made troops and the TC army only ever attacks with a single squad at a time. Including a Hate Cage in said squads doesn't really make them any harder to take out.

The final Final FINAL battle is kinda easy, but nonetheless the choice of songs makes it that much more epic :D

EDIT: Oh, right. The battle against the Metal Queen is tough since you're without troops. It's actually harder than the final Final FINAL battle :|

Lucky you :| I couldn't even get a lag-free match 1v1 with friends whom I knew had stellar connections :(

You don't really need to build Bouncers at all during the campaign. In spite of being nerfed for multiplayer, Fire Barons still reign supreme in the campaign. Just spam them after you clear the Doom's Dawn mission and anything not specifically requiring another unit for a scripted purpose(IIRC this would only extend to the Rock Crusher being needed in the final showdown against the DD) can be incinerated by them.

Also, Thunderhog double teams. That bass shockwave paralyzing enemies is incredibly powerful. It lasts long enough for you to play the Bring It On Home solo and take little to no damage, too

Bouncers are stupid. Razor Girls and Headbangers are the way to go until you earn the Fire Barons. After you get those, just spam them like crazy.
The connections were never superb, I'll admit, but I was a mad TC user. Usually had a Bleeding Death out about 5 minutes into the match. Then, everyone found out about the "LOLSPAMFIREBARONS" tactic, and I lost 4 times in a row. It was then that I switched and started to use that, and the instant I made it to 50, I quit. It just seemed so... cheap.

Fire Barons were nerfed pretty decently for the multiplayer mode several months back, along with the Rock Crusher, Heart Cutter, and some DD unit I can't recall. Their cost, load, and effectiveness against non-infantry targets took a serious hit but they're still the weapon of choice when it comes to killing infantry for Ironheade.
