Global Chat

That's probably the most important question. All the people that are strongly for it can tell RTS game similar to PA where the chat works flawlessly :
- Supcom with GPGNET and FAF.
- TA Spring.
- Zero-K.

The people against are saying 'it doesn't work from my experience', and the best they came up with is MMO chats...

Seemed to work pretty well in Wargame Airland Battle as well. Didn't really see anything naughty there.

When it comes to global chats, the worst ones are typically in the MMO area with high player counts, the most docile are typically your RTS's & low player count games. The reason why, a lot of the immature brats are on the higher player count games because of their popularity & the lack of skill typically required. As for RTS games, unless they are really simple to play (SW Empire At War, your one of them) most of the people who turn global chats into a negative area usually wouldn't play the type of game.

yeah, there's some expanded chat functionality. Toy Rush is a different sort of beast though.

And toy rush global chat is filled with one-line messages. Half of those are offensive, half are just "hi" and the other half are people looking to join a club. That's a lot of halves! No real conversation though.
