No, the tank is number one when you add in survivability. Plus the fact that a tank vs an assassin, has the advantage.
Survivability doesn't help you push lanes faster, manueverability does. I can easily outpush a tank by just avoiding him and going for bots behind him or shurikening the bots near him. Not to mention that if there is no pros inhibiting your pushing efforts, you can literally kill all the bots from your base to theirs in 5-15 seconds (depends on map).

But dont get me wrong, tanks are amazing pushers and the class i am most wary of when i play assassin. One screw up and he will burn you down hard, and your lane.

Maneuverability doesn't "push" a lane faster. It allows you to get places/bots faster. Your bots will walk the exact same speed no matter how fast you go. And in terms of clearing on coming lanes, say hello to the Tanks rail gun. He can clear from a mile away. And not to mention fight enemy pros head on. When confronted, the assassin is not a face to face fighter. If your against a decent team, they'll be pushing the lanes as well. And thats when the tank shines.

Meaning the tank can clear the lane as well as defending his own bots. If you have an assassin pushing on one side and the tank on the other, My money is on the tank and his bots. But we don't have to agree, its cool.

And if you meant clearing lanes without enemy opposition, then yes, the assassin can get the job done and at a good speed. But then again most classes can manage it without opposition.

She gets juice rediculously fast, and when juiced can destroy all the towers in an entire base.

Yes, this is good but so are other classes at getting juice. Support, sniper etc.
Yes but other classes do not posses the tower clearing power that assassin has (well, gunner with mortar does), and assassin is the fastest juice gaining pro.

Some pros are more effective then others with juice.

And how do you claim she is the fastest? Next time you play, choose a sniper, use rate of fire as gold and repeatedly shoot an enemy turret. You'll literally have juice in seconds. Not to mention the fact that in steel peel he can do this the moment the game begins while still in spawn. So he's getting juice while destroying the turrets. (OOhh, two for one on you. lol)

Yes assassins gain fast, but, don't assume its the fastest. They need to reach bots, and turrets, snipers do not.

She has one of the best bot summons.

She is good for taking out specific problem causing targets. Like that popular (and effective) gunner + support combo falls to pieces when you take out the support.

This is very true for now but not after the update. Support with firebase eliminates this use of the assassin.

I shuriken support camping firebases. And i assassinate then when they are not near firebase easily.

I have gotten into the habit of not cloaking while grappling, and i have notices no difference.

Besides, in this next patch supports heal will be nerfed (but same if they use RoF endorse) so shurikens will make quick work of a firebase even with a dedicated healer.

Besides the example in my post was a gunner + support combo, considering they will be making progress down the lane, i dont see how a firebase falls into this.

As a good support, I always place my FB in the lane. It prevents enemy bots, and not to mention killing enemy pros attempting to push.

Therefore not only does the FB protect me, it protects my lane pushing team also. The only time I leave my FB is to boost up spawn defense and I'm back. I'm either at one or the other. And once the lane is clear I'll move it closer, so its always with the action.

So yes, its always relevant. Unless your trying to assassinate some random guy on the opposite end of the map. And yes, the update makes this a problem for lane pushing assassins. After the update to grapple a support by an FB is suicide. Before the update, you could easily Assassinate this key target. Impossible not to notice the difference.

By the way, I don't think I've ever died as a support because of shurikens. My FB Heals me and I heal it. That plus they're easy to dodge.

But if its working for you, keep it up.

Also best for quickly nabbing the annihilator, seeing as she can do it while cloaked and has the highest manueverability of any class.

Its a contributing factor to making her a good class so why should it be ignored?

Annihilator has the potential to easily swing the game in one teams favor, you do not under any circumstances want the other team to get it.

It kills every single bot the enemy team posseses and it hurts all enemy pros too, if you have a team that takes advantage of that, it can end a game.

You're explaining what the annihilator does. lol. Okay. Thats true. But it has nothing to do with the assassin per se. ANY Class can use the annihilator. In fact just keep an eye on it and you'll know when to be there. There is no need for a race.

General mobility is an asset to the assassin. Not the annihilator. Although I understand what you were getting at.

BTW you can reload slash into the middle platform on Grenade III from the top floor outer ring on either side. Whereas other pros have to hunt down and buy a jump pad.

Same as before. If you consider everything you just listed, the only two things that actually involve the assassin herself is bot clearing and assassinating the support. And after the update, only bot clearing which she is 2nd best at.

First of all i never listed "assassinating the support" as one of her key jobs, it was an example. I mentioned killing key enemy pros that are causing your team problems, like a support + gunner combo etc...

Second of all, you totally discredited two of the assassins most important jobs as being trivial with stupid reasoning, juicing turrets is an easy and a very effective job for the assassin that helps your team alot. Also using the annihilator whenever it is up can easily determine the outcome of the game.

Lastly, she is better as clearing lanes then tanks are (key word: clearing).

Round and round we go. You mnetioned killing key enemy pros, like "SUPPORT" + gunner but not assassinating the support. Which at the moment is the most efficient way, to "killing the support". lol. If he's healing a gunner + FB, and your not assassinating him but killing him as an assassin, your shooting shurikens? The FB will shoot when your out of cloak not to mention the gunner firing at you.

And if shurikens are your method, there are too many better ranged classes for the job. So if not assassinating them in this case, NO the assassin isn't a great pick for this job. Go and find a sniper, he can kill both, quickly and efficiently.

And no, I DID NOT discredit the good of juicing to destroy turrets and using the annihilator. What I said was that all classes are great with juice and all classes can use the annihilator. Meaning it wasn't exclusive to the class. In fact, when juiced, the Support can turn an enemy turret into a friendly turret. Juice is good for all.

To sum it up, I love the assassin. Its my favorite class, I just believe that its going to be the lesser of all the classes even more so after the update.

If the assassin can't infiltrate and assassinate key elements such as healing support + FB, snipers + traps, Tanks + Hp. Then the assassination grapple has limited use. Being strictly downsized to lane pushing and turret destruction makes the class limited. Others do the same plus more.

Is the minigun of the gunner ever not useful at mid range? How about the sniper rifle at long range? Is the jet gun at close range? But the assassins greatest offense has the most restrictions of any class. Which bothers me alot. It was one of the main reasons I got the game.

See we both really like the class. Mind you I have 700+ blade kills, and over 2000 assassinations. and thats not even half my total kills. I'm no slouch.

I guess I was just giving you a hard time.

No hard feelings right? lol

UBER just don't take away the grapple, cloak and I'm fine.
