I think the worst part is the subtitle of that article. Doesn't that just sound kind of pathetic? Even Journalism websites have adopted the attitude of "yep, this is happening."
What do you mean? Sins was basically an RTS with 4x elements. Stellaris is more of a 4x with RTS elements.
Doom! Okay, so the multiplayer is very lacking imo. Very different from it's origins and even what changes it does make could be argued as just.. Not as good as the other games which kind of formed these ideas. It's customization is freakin' amazing though- let me be honest. It's singleplayer on the other hand?... Totally different story. It's singleplayer feels so well made and true to it's origins in gameplay and feel, and even what it does add feels very fresh and fitting to a Doom title. ID still knows how to make singleplayer games.. Pretty evident by Wolfenstein: The New Order already, but Doom just continues that idea. Really excited to see more singleplayer content- in fact with Doom I believe you get an expandalone which continues the Wolfenstein story so... Kind of excited about that. Personally don't find it near worth sixty dollars myself, maybe a bit of slack because of the Wolfenstein bit, but would definitely recommend for whenever it inevitably goes on sale.
Ok. I'm really craving Stellaris now. THE GALAXY WILL BOW TO THE FIRST ORD- I MEAN SUPREME EMPIRE OF GEERS!
http://store.steampowered.com/app/223100/ Well that came out of nowhere. EDIT: Apparently this has actually been a thing for a long time and I never noticed it.
Oh yeah, I'd seen some mentioning of it in videos. I found the first one's multiplayer fun but it's singleplayer was.. Eh.
I always wanted to like Homefront's story, because parallel universe North Korea stuff is neat, but yeah the writing and general gameplay was pretty bland.
Nuclear Throne is awesome, but I like the bullet hell vibe Gungeon gives off. I've also had Nuclear Throne for a while now. Nuclear Throne is more about preemptive hits, corner poking, and enemy circling than weaving through bullet patterns. Which I'm hoping Gungeon has a lot of. EDIT: It appears as though I didn't build Gungeon funds in time before the discount went away
