Yes, first screenshot is definitely a goal we are working towards. Ben has to get the shaders whipped into shape. The renderer is coming along nicely as well. Virtual texturing with deferred rendering is a powerful combo. Lots of work to build this stuff!

Robots, Satellites, Space rockets, Nukes, Artillery, GIANT battleships, and full modding support? Looks like there's going to be some seriously fun toys to play with!

Think of it as a factory that can build and drop different kinds of warheads. Save up a bunch and rain down destruction. But watch out for anti-satellite missiles...

I'm fine with a non-human influenced battleship, so long as the game play doesn't change . If a battleship with a bridge isn't already there, I can always mod one in .

The egg doesn't look big enough for the Delta Commander.

That means the rocket will have to be even bigger.

Haha nice choice of word. TA has a tower called a toaster which when innactive looks similar to this. Therefore my guess would be plasma tower.

Overall, I love the designs. I have a few minor points to add:
-If the two items above and above-right of the wall-segment/block are anti-ground points defenses, please make them have long-bore cannons. Most anti-ground weapons that people are familiar with have long-bore cannons... think assault rifles, tanks main guns, and tank destroyers.
-If If the two items above and above-right of the wall-segment/block are anti-air, please have the missile launchers erect and vertically oriented. Most anti-air weapon systems always or nearly always point 45 degrees up or higher off the ground. Some examples include the American Patriot Missile, and the SA-12. (These always points up or nearly so when set-up for firing.)
-I'm curious what the tiny ships are, including the tiniest one.
-I think power plants should have smoke stacks. They are always associated with smoke stacks irl, either coal or nuclear.... with with some kind so spinning generator-looking device.

Aircraft are great. I'd love to see some sort of flying disc unit so I can reenact alien invasions

Construction stripes were definitely a good idea.

That little block is definitely a wall. Personally, I'd prefer them to be coloured so that when I am inevitably destroyed, at least my walls will remain as an indication of my fate.

The top giant disc thing is either:
- Asteroid propulsion
- Some really obscure thing because the model isn't very reflective of the function
- Some really obscure thing because it never existed in SC or TA
- Air repair pad
- A ground based anti-satellite laser
- Some command center to control / hack satellites
- A link between planet and moons

You guys. the top thing is confirmed to be a satelite that drops ordanance down from space, likely ranging from your traditional metal rod (more dangerous than it sounds) to nuclear.

Didnt see any pictures at all even remotely looking like that.

However, read the whole page, now I wana watch that movie. Sounds superb.
