Enjoying all of the models and scale tests so far! Everything is looking amazing, and I will be truly sad if I ever loose Mr. Delta in combat.

Love the design. But the real question is, are they available in red? (Rhetorical, though I feel like a concept art of a red one would be awesome)

I must ask again: If commander dont upgrade in-game in any way, hes stuck with only tech1 to build, just like in TA?

What an odd thing to be hung up over this early in development.

    I'm wondering this as well.

They're trying to remove all obsolescence in the game. I can think of 2 possibilities:

    1) Commander has limited build options
    - Not much of an issue because the basic units are just as effective as the advanced ones

    2) Commander can build anything
    - May note be an issue because the 'endgame' and advanced stuff just couldn't be built early on

I don't think they should upgrade. I'd be happy with either option.

Looks absolutely fantastic! It's got character, which can't be easy to get right in a soulless killing machine - TA got it right, but even my beloved Supcom didn't get it right all the time.

    A+ would drool again.

If the Commander could build anything I don't think that would nessesarily be an issue for two reasons.

    1) if T2 stuff has a sufficiently greater drain on the economy than T1 then player's early game economies wouldnt be able to support production. In that case players would not be able to hold off long enough to go straight to T2 without risk of getting smacked by the opponent who pushed T1 units off the assembly line.

    2) As you mentioned, Uber are trying to do away with the concept of obsolescence. T2 as I understand it is not going to be more powerful, just more specialised at their tasks, so this would be less of an issue as it was in SupCom where T1 units were just so much scrap metal as the other tiers became available.

That said, if the Commander has limited build options I wouldnt have any issue with that. I just dont think it would nessesarily be an issue if it were the other way round either, it might help keep the Commander a more relevant and active unit as a game wears on.

Same thing i was thinking haha. Yeah pretty interesting how will they be used in-game? Are they placed in some sort of unit hierarchy?

I think the TA way is fine.

I'm interested to see how SC:FA would play modded in that fashion.

All commander concepts I've seen so far look really cool. Really cool! The "Teufel" design which I found on one commander concept wallpaper is my favourite so far. But only by a notch! It reminds me of the cybran design theme which I really loved. The idea of having only one (huge! :D ) set of units but a large number of different commanders providing variation is absolutely genius! I love the idea! That negates a lot of ballancing issues I guess. I like the idea of not only having different designs and abilities but also different stats like hit points/armor, speed, firepower, sensor range. I would also like to see different forms of locomotion like tracks, several spider like legs, hoverengine, etc. What to you think?

By the way, your explanations of how the commander differences work seemed pretty clear to me, neutrino. Don't worry. And, I need to say, I have faith in you in your team that this game is going to be epic. I go in line with everything I heard and read from your side so far. "The spirit of TA and SupCom strong I sense in you, young Uber!"
Also, Uber Cannon is really cool! Cool idea hydro! Because of it's history, D-Gun is a little bit more concise but if it can't be that, Uber Cannon seems the best way to name it.
