I love the laurel made from a gear, it fits the theme and game perfectly.

I may need to add it to my hand-turkey symbol.

I think semi-folded wings, like on monochromatic one, would look better.

I noticed that the other two voting topic have names to vote on. Yet this thread doesn't. I guess we just give feedback on the faction icon and how it should looks instead of voting?

I like Baryon's pictures, particularly the cog bit, though I think if you put something like an orb filled with stars and galaxies that has an outline of white/yellowy white colour it could look nice. Basically it's a good way of having the eagle holding the universe instead of just holding a single planet or a random circle.

I don't think it will look good when it's 50x50 pixels.

this is why I like the phoenix the most, it's the just the one where you see the "holding the planet in its talons" the best.

Some more refinement was needed to keep up with the great art in this thread.

Yeah, my issue is that unless you told me what it was, I wouldn't really recognize it. The red triangles don't look like talons, and the bird's "face' is nonexistent. I see "bird, gear, and red triangles" not "eagle with planet in talons".

This entire thread is the reason why i am proud to be a backer for PA good work to all those artists here

I would imagine a roman eagle clutching a depiction of the milky way, with a little slightly widened hexagonal shape near the center bottom of the galaxy that smoothly connects two arcs of a more streamlined version of the roman wreath.

Totally agree with that. The backers also contribute great feedback.

There isn't much to refine about your designs. Your skills are purely awesome. Your profile picture (with exception of the upper 30%) belongs to the greatest vector art I've ever seen. If you manage to get a great idea and reduce it to the elementary parts and stress these out ... insta win.
Kudos also to lordxanos who managed to do exactly this.

Everyone seems hot on the "not drawn in MS paint" look, so I've updated my design to match.
I also replaced the birds legs with a single large gear that encompasses the planet. The bird is no longer a badly drawn hand-turkey.

I feel like the bird should probably be a bird shaped rocket for some reason.

EDIT: I managed to stuff up embedding the image. I've added it properly.
