    nuke balancing needs some serious love.

    The AI's proper use of nukes is a good sign from an AI perspective, not so good from a game balance perspective.

    I'm not sure how to solve that, then. The AI knows it has extra resources, and the best thing to do would be to rush nukes. Hopefully the AI keeps getting better so that it can be a challenge without such a big resource advantage..

    Thats the kind of game play i dont want us to see, "spam nukes or die to nukes".

    I do think nukes are needed in the game, but as they are right now "they just invalidate everything else". As you said balance is an issue.

    Dont know how the ai could be tuned with out using some form of economy modifier. *shrugs*

    I just hope nuke balancing comes in at least somewhat before that. The AI is already a nuisance with nukes, don't need to add intelligent unit control to that too...

    Hey Sorian, have you ever read "The Two Faces of Tomorrow" by James P. Hogan? One of my favorite AI reads. I'd recommend it if you're into sci-fi.

    If you were to ignore that this individual post was a while back.. I want to raise a question.

    Shouldn't this be a unit AI be for all units in-game, and not just the enemy AIs? I totally see why the AI should get this, but if the AI can micro every single unit, it's going to force the player into countering with units they have to micro as well, or they will lose basically every single encounter.

    If our own units could micro themselves when directly attacking targets or defending against incoming enemies, it would be a huge step in removing as much manual micro from the game as possible. Isn't that the goal? I think this is an amazing unit AI, and is possibly the very thing we need.

    The AI does not micro individual units, it micros units as a group, just like a player can.
