    Hello,

    the bug is on PA Maintitle and on Titans.
    After the start with Fullscreen the Screen was flickering completly with the Default Parameters.

    When i changed on "Windows-Screen" the flickering was over.
    Please fix this graphic bug.

    You see on my dxdiag i have the newest Drivers.
    The same Problem is on no other game!

    Thx and Greetings

    Alex

    Check this list:
    What are your current settings for the following:
    • settings > display > change the size of text, apps, and other items
    • control panel > display > set a custom scaling
    What happens if you change those?

    Can you also try disabling the following:
    • steam overlay
    • HDR
    There was an issue from 2014... others may remember if there was a fix or workaround.

    I've seen this happen a lot when TVs are being used as monitors. For some reason Windows changes the refresh rate when games are being played full screen and if this refresh rate isn't compatible with the monitor, you'll get flickering. However, you do seem to have an actual monitor. Quite a beast though!

    Anyway, could you test this by running PA in full-screen to get the flickering, and then <Alt>+<Tab> to another windowed application (such as Explorer)? You'll have the full-screen PA running in the background. Does it stop flickering then?

    Also, is there a reason why you don't have your monitor set its native resolution? Your graphics card should be able to support it.

    @mikeyh:
    Other tricks with
    • steam overlay
    • HDR
    have no effects.

    @DeathByDenim: Thx, your tipps or combinations are good.

    The relationship is as follows and is not therefore evident to all:

    I have an 34 Zoll LG PC Monitor with UHD max Resolution 3440 x 1440.
    This Resolution is in Desktop to small, because I either my eyes to old or the words to little :-(

    The Test bring the reason:
    With Deskop Setting 3440 x 1440 => No Flickerung
    With Desktop Setting 2560 x 1080 => Flickering

    That's why i use 2560 x 1080 on Desktop.
    The game has not Resolution Switch but only a Resolution scale. I think the scale interpreted the Resolution wrong.

    I have this Problem not on a other game and i think it is an bug when the Gamers use a other Resolution as the max Parameter.

    Two Solutions for this problem:
    1. Fix the autoscale bug
    2. Make a 2nd switch to deactivate the autoscale and the gamer can make the Resolution fix.

    Thx.

    PA is different from most other games because it uses OpenGL instead of DirectX. This is needed to be able to run on platforms other than just Windows. Additionally, PA uses a borderless window to achieve full screen, which is why you don't set the resolution in PA, but rather you set the scaling.

    It's very odd that either Windows or the drivers decide to change the refresh rate because there should be no difference between a window with or without borders.

    Anyway, it sounds like it doesn't happen at 3440x1440, so one thing you could try is using that resolution and then use the settings @mikeyh pointed out to adjust the font size or scaling of your desktop to make things readable for you. That is, these ones:
    • settings > display > change the size of text, apps, and other items
    • control panel > display > set a custom scaling

    Anyway, could you try
