So I'd join a game but there is none anymore.

And I am so gonna steal your map definition while joining it

I need to go buy some cookies now. But there was interest in the irc from somebody else.

Clearly having the bases North-South is kinda not what we had in FA.

But EPIC work. Looks really nice ingame already.

luckily you can turn the camera around. I had to find a sweet spot where things would get mirrored, I did not see North and South while building it in the system builder :p . It now has the Island too as a metal sweet spot and strategic point

That's so unreadable and disturbing! (or it look just like it should).

I believe he meant no offense to you or the map maker, he meant it to everyone who denied the usefulness of a minimap.

Personally I still don't really use it. X3

I proved that it is possible, I would not mind if people start building maps from Supreme Commander:)

Just played on this map. It was really fun! Didn't play SupCom though, so I might be missing out on some sentimental stuff :p

So, we nave no-fly kill zones from smash craters, could we use those to block off air?

Right now it's not really viable to work with water in the planet editor. Water doesn't fill subtractive brushes and is determined wholly by the random heightmap, so you'd have to do a lot of looking to find the right seed.

(Another problem with Seton's: symmetric maps are mirrored, not flipped, so you would have to place brushes manually on each hemisphere if you wanted to preserve the beach/rock dynamic.)

Silly supcom players... What we need is painted desert (with the map colours), gas bag plain, crystal cracked and lava high ground from ta :)

Hey @ballsonfire , I had a great time playing with you on that map. Once the spawn-points are set correctly, I think it would be even more fun. I'm still not sold on that mex-island because of how much of an advantage it gives the first player to claim it, but besides that I felt like it was a pretty good layout. There are lots of opportunities to drop teleporters into the corners of the opponent's bases and avoid pathing units over the entire length of the map. By the time they get there, the defenses are up and the opponent has already gone T2. This is very much the most 'anti-rush' map I've played so far. I'll be following this thread and looking to play again the next time you host a game. I'd love to try 3v3 instead of just the 2v2 we did last night.

    Cheers

just the part of the silly I don't liked, but yes we need some cool TA maps too... not only TA and FA, but even... SC, C&C... or SW Galact BattleGrounds!

Didn't mean any offence by it- I played SupCom 1 and FA so I'd count myself in that as well :p
