Learning how to make 3D models, decided to use the Core Fusion Power Plant from TA as a model. Maybe i'll try to add it to PA as a custom unit when a) it's textured and b) we can add custom units

Not my work, but saw this image online of the planets in our solar system. Someone should make this style image out of PA planet images (I'll give it a go later, if it turns out alright I'll post it)

Here's a quick first pass, I missed up the zoom level at some point so the planets don't line up perfectly. I'll replace this one with a better version soon.

You could probably throw in mountain and desert terrains as well. Already looks pretty cool though.

I tried adding desert at one point but thought it looked too much like the earf or ice biomes. Mountains are a good idea, I'll try that. I'm also learning art is harder than I anticipated. Anyway, here's 2.0:

The lava biome looked better when it had a volcano in view, and the moon biome looks a little dark, it almost blends in with the water on either side of it. Other than that, it looks pretty awesome!

I think your current version actually looks a bit samey. Water with island, water with water and water with ice on one picture. I would go for desert with a bit of forest, water with a bit of islands and ice with a bit of mountains. Also, there should be more terrain features: Lava should have a volcano, or a big crack, moon should have craters, etc.

Made a TA-style nanolathe particle effect in Unity. Might try and use it in a KSP mod?

Got it working in KSP as a basic engine effect. Actually making a working nanolathe part to reclaim parts and build craft files seems like a complicated project so I'll put that on the backburner for now. Maybe I'll try and texture the Core Fusion Plant now.

Um, how about the orbital fighter? I always thought that model looked epic.
