    Hey all,

    Finished the first iteration of the textures for the commander I have been working on. I've decided to call it Zeta to keep it in with the naming conventions of the other commanders. Any feedback would be cool. I've rigged this guy up too so have been working on some walk cycles for him but not far enough to really show anyone yet. Any one got any idea how I need to do the animations for the game to eventually pick them up?

    You could ask about the rig for the existing commanders with someone who has been working on them. This is an awesome model and can't wait to see more!

    Friend of mine was asking for "any other wishes" after he finished a logo for another game.
    So I handed him the Foundations symbol and told him to make it a metallic gray 3D image.
    I think it turned out quite nicely for a first run:

    Since he asked "what's your opinion" I'm close to asking for some battle scars / bullet dents / grime on it :)

    Also, I've been working on a small commander design myself.
    Been thinking about a wheeled commander.

    Finally finished the model based on

    Well, at least, almost finished. The textures need a bit of tweaking, a lot of it was hack-and-slash because I wanted to get the first presentable version done tonight (It's 10:00 and I have to get up at 4:30 tomorrow AND I have INSOMNIA!). I also need to color the gun and the lathe to convention, as well as detail the gun.

    I took some geometric freedom with the Pelvis so I could give him a walk cycle. The legs articulate properly, and he has a fully-working rig.

    Bonus points if you can find the reference, and consequently, the name of the Commander (aside from Tech Commander OFC).

    Edit: The ponytail is in the model, it just isn't visible from those angles. The one in the concept sticks out a LOT and it looked more like some sort of horrible worm creature when on the model. So I flattened it out a little bit based on some pictures of Jon.

    Radius 4500 Earth, 65 Height Range, 50 Water Level, At the very edge of the grid. I thought that it looked sweet.

    (By the way, this takes ~14Gb of RAM, including the VRAM.)

    You did a great job. The details you captured are quite good. Note the 'ears' curve back in at the top and the ears angle up a bit too. I think the face/chest is a big thinner. Try to pose your bot similarly. It will help you capture details you might have missed by doing a side by side.

    cheers for the feed back. I can go back and do a bit of changes to it when I have a bit of free time. I think I learnt a lot from texturing the second commander I did (Zeta) so I want to do another pass on it anyway at some point. I think it will look loads better once I do.

    Is this only happening to me? i cant see my build queue or where the units is going :( on top that i would like a better pathfinding system because my units get stuck sometimes
