Also, if you want to talk about realism, real-life works just like PA: there are dedicated anti-aircraft tanks separate from regular tanks. For AA you need a quick rotating turret and you also probably want radar, plus fast firing, relatively low caliber guns. For ground attacking you need a heavy cannon, which necessitates a slower turret and larger rounds, so it ends up being useless against aircraft. I suppose they could slap an AA missile launcher on the back (like a FIM-92 or SA-7 type deal) but I guess the military decided it was better to just have two separate vehicles, both really good at their job, than an all-in-one that can't fully fill both roles. For gameplay purposes I still think you want to avoid all-in-one solutions so that players can't just crank out gobs of 1 unit and be protected against all threats. The real problem for PA gameplay currently is that you can't effectively do escorting. If I tell my missile trucks to assist my tanks, they just all get tangled up. If I tell them to all move together, the missile trucks run ahead. If formations come into play, it should work a lot better. I'd love to see Rome 2 style formations where I have a list of types of formations I can click: light bots in front, heavy tanks behind, anti-aircraft to the side OR heavy tanks up front, light bots to the sides, AA in the back, OR....
