You don't seem to understand how orbital bombardment works. The ship has every advantage. It takes a lot of resources to targer something in space, while the ship can literally just drop things and let gravity accelerate a projectile (or even just a solid mass). It can therefore level cities in a single salvo. In a war involving space ships, if you lose the battle for space you have lost the war, full stop.

Have you ever tried to re-take sea after losing it in a game of Sup Com? It's very hard, impossible if the opponent is at all skilled. Re-taking space is impossible in pretty much every circumstance, and any attempt to balance this away in-game would make spacecraft unbelievably weak to the point of a) uselessness and b) immersion breaking because it would be so jarring seeing such a woefully pathetic space craft. It also means there is no incentive to use ground forces. Satellites work within this context because having them fairly weak *is* realistic - there's only so much you can do with a small frame (the bigger the frame, the harder it is to launch).

I already got my doubts about space battle, will not have the proportions that I imagined, and will not be the way I imagined, after which I said in past posts I am only joking and saying things that will not have, do not confuse thinking that'm serious :) but not cease to disagree with you on many things you said. we are talking about very large scales, is a galaxy where I think it will have more than 25 people beating up, then I think you should think better in their strategies because it will be quite different than conquering a galaxy a "map", and when one thinks of war in a galaxy at least I think necessary fleets of ships controlling the space (yes I understand that not going to have, and also understand how the battle will be "orbital" and etc), but I think it would be hard to get back control space but not impossible, on a map the size of a galaxy has to be much more than skilled to control and annihilate everything
to finish, I think TA will be a game with new and unique systems that perhaps will change the way we think about space battle and rts, but do not think star wars unnecessary and will continue wondering :)

    Omg.

Space battles are not within the scope of the game.
