    If that were truly the case, then there was no reason to create the thread as we already have a commander that feels more feminine than the others.

    On another note, I'm not sure where people here think the Progenitor evokes a feminine physique. It certainly doesn't to me with that giant codpiece.

    The interesting thing about this discussion, is that is largely irrelevant. The top down perspective that comes with RTS gameplay means that pretty much all reference of masculine feminine is going to be lost anyway. You're going to see the shoulders and arms of your commander and little else. I've noticed this playing Dota 2 recently. The only time the heroes resemble a gender in that game is at the hero selection screen. The rest of the time it's only the voice that maintains the illusion of gender.

    Does the art style of PA even lend it self to a feminine aesthetic? Everything I've seen so far is square and blocky, about as inorganic as you can get. Would a curved commander even fit in with the rest of the art style, or would it stick out to quote like a sore thumb? I've noticed so far even the trees are very blocky looking in the artwork we've been seeing so far. Any Idea what the poly count actually is on the units? If that's even relevant.

    I was going to save my first comment in this forum for when the game was released but you've successfully provoked a reply from me.
    The game should have NOTHING to do with gender or sexuality. It's about ANNIHILATION - not dressing up your commander!
    What exactly would it add to the game?!

    well a female commander or male would make them game tipped that way we just need humanoid figures and they would look certain ways like the theta commander looks like a guy's ACU but there should be no gender cause AI's don't care really and we need a commander editor that is like spore i would like that :D (not as lame as spore though)

    Oh man. Robo Pit (1:00) had this. The single leg emphasized low speed and stability but insane jump power. I hated it, as it was so annoying to get used to and my strat involved rushing with maxed out spiked shields (4:40). So much damage and defense. Totally imba. :roll:

    No one says we can't have bouncy bouncy robots on the field. Kangaroos have high speed and excellent long range endurance, as their leg structure spring loads most of its energy to minimize waste. It should be good somewhere.

    It still has a massive upper frame with broad shoulders. It looks more like a native warrior than anything.
