DLC vs Expansions - KNOW THE DETAIL!

Now THIS is quality DLC if I ever saw one. Who wouldn't want to romp about in a classy galaxy with top hats and monocles?

I say, dear sir, that anyone who turn down such a ravishing opportunity is not, and can never be, a true gentleman.

Cosmetic commanders and units, maybe different nuke animations. Things that have no effect on the game are fine to sell. I wouldn't mind buying a giant dino-bot commander or something silly like that, if it is purely cosmetic.

But Commanders aren't Cosmetic so I'm not sure how you could implement cosmetic commanders without messing with unit readability. Actually the same applies to unit skins as well. It's also somewhat counter-intuitive as the cost for the artwork for a new skin set is one of the (main) reasons we don't have multiple unit sets to begin with.

Anyhow, I would really prefer if the PA next releases concentrated on gameplay, new game modes, new planets and glaxies, new mechanics ect.

DLC and Expansion Packs aren't mutually exclusive.

How about if you did another kickstarter for an expansion pack, so all the die hard fans can pay for the expansions then everyone is kept up to date so none of the community gets left behind?
I would pay again for further additions.

I will not buy DLC, I will however buy a full fledged expansion. DLC is a quick money grab for things that should be given away for free. Just because the business model changed to a greed state, does not mean we need to accept it. All DLC accomplishes is introducing a pay to win feature for people who have money to burn. On top of the community split. Don't even get me started on Battlefields 'premium' ea dickrider service.

But you get what you pay for, the Galactic Edition comes with a lot more than just the Core Game.
