Jen, plans can and often do change. Especially in the game industry. And especially considering what happened with the last DLC. So, just because they had it planned two months ago, that doesn't mean its still planned now. Its a valid question/concern because it has been quite a while since they have talked about it at all with the community.

Obviously they don't need to reassure us (pat us on the head and give us a lollipop) of something they've already stated every day, week or even month. BUT the time frame of non-communication since the last confirmation is quite long. Its been over two months without a peep concerning the 360. It wouldn't hurt to confirm to the community that plans are still in the works and DLC is coming.

No one here is flaming Uber, no one is threatening, no one is demanding anything, some players are just curious. The OP made a very respectful, reasonable, and rational post/request. So, Jen, there's really no need to get all defensive about it.

I was scared what results a google image search on "patting head of little kid" would bring up.

I remember that episode. So when does the hunter become the hunted?

We have no idea when the next DLC is coming out for the 360 because we're not sure how much content we can change. Here's why:

The current PC version is very different architecturally than the shipping 360 version because we needed to restructure how our files are setup, loaded into memory, etc to handle the content changes we're making to the PC version. With the 360 version, there are certain limits that are imposed on us on how large a patch can be or what files we can touch or change which severely limits us on what we can do. Much of this has been a learning process for us on how to construct MNC to make updates easier with said constraints.

To give you an example, when we made updates to all the maps for Spunky Cola DLC, we had to make a new copy of every map and have the game point to those maps because we can't actually patch in maps (or update the old maps) like we do on PC. We can't make menu or layout changes easily so before we do any DLC update to 360, we're working out how to layout the content we want to deliver, gear, maps, etc on the PC version. One one side the 360 community is awesome and it's great to have a fixed hardware platform to work with but on the other it's not as flexible for updates and changes. We're also limited my memory limitations and that's why we have to re-architect on how we handle files.

It has nothing to do with if we care about the 360 community or not because we do care. It's not a touchy feely issue, its a platform, hardware and resource issue.

Platforms, resources, and hardware can be touchy feely :)

But, it is nice to see you all are alive and kicking. Know that your work load must be a bit much. So, what that guy said.

Thankies, and I wish you luck with future challenges of satisfying us rabitt fans.

This makes my process of covering my ears, singing loudly, and ignoring all the negativity about the game that much more bearable :)

So, the fact that we'd have 3 copies of every map on our hard-drives with a new update... Does that mean you're hesitant to include the new spawn exits?

Also, glad to see that you're at least trying to bring Gear to 360

Obviously patches can only be 4 or 5MB. Would it be possible to put out another free DLC? Include some big updates with the next DLC, then put out a paid version, and a free version to add in the new updates for anyone who isn't buying the DLC. I always imagined that every DLC would come with a free version to include big updates, but is that possible with Microsoft?

    Thanks for posting

I'd almost guarantee a no to that one. Ever heard of the TF2 fiasco?

Except, this isn't TF2. Nor is this Valve.

Thanks for the reply Eka. I honestly wasn't whining or looking to be coddled when I started the thread. I was just legitimately curious. I know Uber hasn't abandoned the 360. After all, don't parents always love the first child the most? That's what Stand By Me taught me.
