Don't forget the Sniper can shoot HIS OWN bots and teammates to activate explosive rounds. Lawl you're grappling a Jackbot. Explosive rounds. Dead. Lawl you're grappling another player. Explosive rounds. Dead. It's absolutely ridiculous.

Solution. Don't be assassin. Every class can kill you with ease.

To be fair, Assassin is a sneaky hit-and-run class, not a "LIKE A BAWSS" hit-and-run-out-in-the-open class. Grapple a Jackbot out in the open, destroy bots in the open, or assassinate an enemy pro when there are others who can clearly see you, and you should reasonably expect to get lit up.

I can't believe this is a real topic . Headshots are only difficult if there is massive lag. Since the DLC, I have landed sprinting headshots, mid-air headshots, double headshots and even cloaked assassin headshots. The sniper can be the hardest class to kill and easiest class to get kills with. Dead Stretch can vouch for me about my 16-0, nothin but headshots game in 3-4 mins on GIII the other day. The sniper "Nerf" doesn't even effect how I play. I never even get explosive rounds, and I still can get juice multiple times per game. Not to be a ****, but you might just need to change how you play him.

And it makes it that much more satisfying when I destroy every other class.

But honestly, I don't have a problem with explosive rounds in general. It's the fact that they can shoot their own stuff and kill you. Assassin cloaked running past a group of bots. Dead in one hit regardless of armor because explosive shots stack when a bullet is shot through multiple enemies. Sniper didn't even have to know she was there.

 I do that with the air strike sometimes. Trying to make someone retreat or something.

I'll throw it up there not expecting to hit anyone, but I get lucky and get a triple kill. I love that.

Besides the Flak and his Grapple, the Sniper has (surprisingly) a long range weapon. [Waits for shock to settle in.] Now if you think about it on the most basic of levels, a weapon that can hit you and you can't hit back, naturally has the advantage. Only thing Flak/Grapple/SMG is good for if people come to him. Now, I play a Tank a lot and I know that I hate Snipers, for the 'behatted cowards' (sensitivepsycho enterprises TM) that they are, but the one way to out smart a Sniper is to treat him as a hatted weasel and smoke him out of his hole. Gunners can use Mortar shots to pre-maturely set off Ice Traps to charge in, Tank has Product Grenade/Railgun, Assassin can turn invisible and sneak around to get him, Assault has Fly to fly over traps and gun him down, and Supports can't really combat them. Still, I think it's less about the Sniper being overpowered, and more about the fact he is a Sniper. I will give he can hold down entire fields on one side, but that means you have to go around the other side then. Don't run straight on into the Sniper, use cover and make your way towards him and keep out of LoS. With the new patch, I'm somewhat glad they beefed up Flak cause pre-patch, no-one ever really used Flak because why damage Pros for Juice when you can kill them before they kill you. Granted people did use Flak for Bots, but that was in a rarity and now has become more widespread and used, rather then just 'quiqscope FTW'. When it comes down do it, it's a Sniper. Yeah, He is gonna have an advantage when he is far away, but get close enough and he is a weaker Assassin with a mini Assault Rifle. And for anyone who says this obvious and that everyone knows to not go head on into a Sniper, I have seen plenty of people who do exactly that, so apparently, they don't know and need to be taught.

Also, behatted cowards need to die, and ONLY by the Jet Gun, cause the worst pain for a man is his beard being taken away from him, and the Sniper shouldn't have the gloriousness that isn't enough to even be called stubble.

^^ All this plus the explosive round foolishness plus fact that he has an amazing grapple (despite being a class DESIGNED for ranged combat) is why I hate snipers...granted I play him from time to time and exploit this viciously but hey, if you cant beat em, play as em...I suck at aiming with sniper rifle and I got a ton of head shots tonight...

This is the beauty of the sniper. He excels in long range combat and is also a very competent close range opponent. Mid range he is almost always outgunned, except against a support. His low health is his greatest drawback, he is the definition of a glass cannon. The amazing grapple you mention won't kill anyone unless they get rung out or if they were already decently damaged. It's more of a get off me button instead of an insta kill.

I like the challenge of "going commando" with his smg and bag 'o tricks. I only wish I could hear what the other team is saying during crossfire. I'd love to hear what gunners and tanks say when I catch them off guard and dim their lights with the SMG.
