Sinhosie -you say =What part of BETA don't you understand also don't compare GTA 5 to this game... Look at how much it cost to develop GTA 5 and how long in development that game was in... If Uber had millions then probably the game would have gone a different direction with maybe a better game engine..

you dont get the joke ? wy you think i talk about GTA V? wy you think i say i pay 80 euros for PA? wy you think i talk that GTA V will only cost 49.99 !
I think its easy to arrive there!

I LOVE the graphics style they came up with. I might die if it changed, just saying.

I wouldn't mind seeing some sort of mini-map venture into the game.

A idea I had was for a simple representation of the solar system be put in place, a graphic of dot sized planets orbiting a dot sized sun, in the correct positions. So you can see at a glance the positions of the planets without having to zoom out. These planets would be surrounded by a halo, these halo's represent "missed activity" on the planets, i.e. unit's sitting idle (yellow), buildings sitting idle (green), combat unobserved (red). The more activity being missed, the brighter the glow of the halo.

So if you were concentrating on micro'ing some fabbers, and glance up to see your neighbouring planet glowing with a violent Red, Yellow and Green Haze, then you click on it, and are immediately in that planet's view ready to issue orders that you've been neglecting.

    Say what?
    Really?
So are we waiting on the later passes for the textures?

No, the textures are staying as they are iirc, nice and clean. The lighting and PP effects will improve, which will make the game just look better generally.

There will probably be some retexturing mods available at some point, given how open the game is to modding.

With what is planned, multiple view-ports, you'll be able to do something just like this. Think of it as Picture-in-Picture. You'll be able to set a camera spot how, zoomed in or out you are on a planet/solar system and have multiple view-ports of different camera spots.

In my opinion, graphics mean nothing. I still play games that were developed in the 1999s. I don't mind the graphics at all. For me, its all about the game-play. If the game is fun to play, that's all I care about. I would much rather say: "Man, I had an awesome time playing the game" rather than: "Man, look at how realistic that fire is."

I also think graphics quality is less of a priority: but for a different reason. The peak goal is 40 players in a single game with up to 1,000,000 units, which is a whopping 25,000 units per player. Anybody who spends time zoomed in to admire the graphics is going to get a sound shellacking. :)

Not quite what i meant, I was thinking more along the lines of a small inch square piece of screen realestate taken up by the graphical representation of the system. Having multiple windows in this case wouldn't be of much help, because tiny windows, with lots of clutter, equal can't see anything.
