I knew they could do that, but honestly that feature alone doesn't justify building them over more effective units that fulfill the same role such as oh say shellers. Problem with sniper bots at the moment is that in a game of such massive spam it's so easy to completely shut them down by swarming a load of bomb bots/dox whatever in front of your high value units.
I often see people using both weapons, the problem is that the sniper bots are expensive and there is no other reason to have a t2 bot factory unless you want to counter hard dox-spam. T2 vehicles or air will just pay off better for the prize of running them.
That is very good to know. More then once was I stuck in GW without basic air and the AI kept hitting me with those T2 missile bombers, aways keeping out of range of my ground forces. Is the sniper bot able to shoot against air, by the way?
spread on artillery just leads to pointless wiggle micro management. And this you can already do with the dox to avoid artillery and keep out of the range of levelers firing arcs and shellers radius.

Nah it wouldnt force more micro, becuase shellers would just miss target and and hit another one close to primary one.
Actually, come to think about it, the shell spread would improve the sheller, also if you have it slight increase in aoe, because right now they often target the same units from time-to-time, making a bit of an overkill. Adding spread would make some of the shells to hit other units nearby, Killing more units and being overall more effiecent against large or medium armies. And still not being sniper, although with enough shellers you will always hit many of your shells.
