Actually Boxers don't even fight. Not to mention they just hug each other most of the time. Also they have big squishy gloves. MMA gloves are made so you don't break you hand as much when punching someone in the head. What's more manly? MMA.
Yeah, boxing's more manly. You can sh!t on your opponent for 36 mins and still lose at the decision. You can lose your world title via low blows.
Why would you ask DeadStretch? I'm the ******* MMA guy here. I have two things to say about that fight: 1) Never underestimate a fighter who has the full investment of Anderson Silva's time. 2) That being said, Jon Jones is a freak of nature and will still probably win. But it's not as one sided as most of you guys think it will be. EDIT: One-sided is the wrong term to use. My guess is that Jones will destroy Machida. And if Jones wins, he won't just barely scrape one out...it will look like the opening scene from Robocop...massive destruction. But I think that Machida has a stronger chance than people give him credit for.
Snarf lets put it this way... Shogun beat Machida twice. Yes twice that first fight was a crap decision and we all know that. Then you have Jone Jones who just destroyed Shogun, though many will say it was due to his time off. Machida's style is not longer "unique." We all know his movements now, his patterns and what he can and can not do. Jones is too fast for Machida. Lyoto will back peddle when he is threatened (which will be all fight) and if he tries to hop in to strike, like he always does, Jones is simply going to beat him to the punch. MMA Guy? That's me. Been watching UFC since it's early days when it was tournament style, trained Taekwondo when I was a teen for 4 years, was on school wrestling team from 5th - 10th grade, and I also trained Judo for 3 years. But really LMP and I always talk about fights and MMA.

Alice, I agree with you on the most part but you're wrong at one thing. Jones won't destroy Machida. Jones will KILL Machida. Just like how Diaz will kill GSP in a street fight. Of course, Diaz will lose by unanimous decision via LAY N PRAY and SNORE FEST BOXING. Stretch, did you watch PRIDE FC? It was the biggest MMA organization at one point. It was here on Japan.
