    Assassin kids aren't going to stop crying until they can start taking gunners and tanks on 1v1 with two slashes without going invisible. Come on kids, they made assassin the way it should've been in the beginning, it's not Uber's fault you guys abused a class that was way overpowered and filled with glitches.. you shouldn't have gotten used to having an easy class, now you can't walk without the crutch.

    You are by far the most annoying person I have ever seen. You trash talk everyone and ignore responses. Assassin "kids"? What are you, 50? I'm betting you're one of those guys who plays Gunner or Sniper huh.

    Just an FYI, a "tryhard" isn't a bad thing, nor is it an insult.

    Seems more likely he's still in high school himself, given the way he throws around "kid" like it's some kind of jibe, among other things. Never heard the phrase, "thou dost protest too much," apparently.

    Quite a thread, I must say. I guess I'll throw in my two cents. I'll start with what I like.

    One, Hit detection is great, although getting shredded by Bolt's minigun wasn't very fun.
    Two, love the new Heal/hurt, although I do think toning down the juice aquisition rate while healing is a necessity, or else we're going to start seeing a juiced Support about once every 30 seconds now (its seriously FAST.)
    The assassin dagger lunge seems about right against bots, and the Sword lunge doesn't one-shot anymore, which is good for juice building but still a bit surprising. I'm liking how smoothly you can dash around the map now, no more herk-jerkin. Although there is still a bug with the dash, dying resets it so its not the end of the world.

    Its lol to see Supports go to try and hack when its clear they only have a level 2 hack. They'll stand next to your turret and be like "What the eff? Oh ballls" and run away.

    Now, just a few complaints about general gameplay.

    Like many posters here said, most of their games are over in 1-2 minutes. Being on the receiving end of those stompings made me consider the validity of how turrets currently function. Their default, unhacked range makes them nearly useless until bots are up on them, already firing at them. I would think a stationary emplacement would be able to see bots coming and at least open fire before the bots maximum range, therefore I think Lazerblazer and Rock-It turrets need their default ranges boosted (hack ranges unaffected) The only time a turret is a threat is if its hacked, therefore only giving the support the incentive to actually build them, and they have enough problems with having 4 necessary skills as opposed to other classes which can get away with only leveling one to level 3. I also think all turrets should have an across the board upgrade to armor vs Juiced opponents, it should be *slightly* more difficult to wipe an entire base (and hundreds in invested cash) in ONE run by ONE juiced enemy. I'd also like to see them do a bit more damage to juiced pros.

    Eh, that was off topic. Oh well. Good work with the patch guys, nice to see it out so quickly considering launch date, and all that jazz. Look forward to the next one!

    We are complaining about the dagger lunge being nerfed TOO much

    I'm fine with the it doing low damage, it should not be a kill all uber skill like it was.
    The problem is that it now does almost NO damage at all.

    That and the fact that IMO they just made the weakest class more weak, while not touching and indirectly buffing the strongest classes like sniper or support
    (Although I think they did make a slight change to the snipers grapple which is nice.)

    If you are not supposed to kill people from the front, then please uber...remove the lunge damage from the sword as well and remove the assassins ability to execute a frontal grab so nobody is confused.

    Well I mean you said yourself that you can fix it by upgrading to katana. It's only $550 which is pocket change to an assassin. I agree the dagger lunge should do some damage, but maybe half or 75% as much as the katana one. Anyway, the sniper got its grapple turned down and the support was never overpowered, I'd put it as 5th best when it comes to getting kills. I'm not trying to tell you to learn to play or that you have to play 1 way, but each class has a role. The gunner and tank are better at killing people and the assassin is better at pushing bots, getting juice, and killing turrets. Any team will struggle without a certain class in any serious match.

    When did this thread go from an update review to DeadEye stroking his own cock publicly? I'm better than him. Why? I have more fun playing MNC than he does. And don't bother responding troll, I've already got you blocked.

    Back on topic, I still find the assassin very fun to play with, and have no problems with the dagger lunge. The shotgun's bullets actually go where you fire them now, and most of the rooms I have been in have almost no lag. Now if you could just do something about the remaining glitches and the overpowered sniper, I would probably never play another game again.

    Ya the game ends too quick most times to get to enjoy the assassin class to its fullest now. That's my big complaint with the dagger nerf.
    Well that and the fact that as you said, assassins can't kill each other unless they have the katana.

    Your armor feels like paper because the new hit detection. Its nigh impossible to MISS now. Even one eye jack the retired war vet with shaky hands will destroy you if he points his gun in your general direction.

    So you DO agree with me, I knew it!
    That's the point I'm trying to get across, its not the nerf to damage that bothers me.
    It is the fact that the damage is SO insanely low that it may as well not even be there.

    And ya that's pocket change, but in a short game it means you cant buy jump pads/the anihi/ or upgrade anything but passive or you will not see the katana before the "you win/lose" screen.

    haha, I actually just got done playing a game like 5 seconds ago where I had the dagger and everybody else had a katana...... my kdr was... well... it wasnt the best, lets just leave it at that. yeah I just put armor as my gold and that helps for the most part, and I am relying on the shurikens alot more now.

    Do what Deadeye and I do. Don't kill their turrets and if the bots begin to push too far, back up to your spawn. I know you may knock like it but until Uber adds a new gametype, this is the only way to make the game last.

    Everyone on these forums already attacked me for being smart enough to learn how to make a game last longer than 5 minutes, and here you are being nice when you tell them my secrets?! How dare you

    Honestly though the update helped a good bit. Less assassins cheating, more money from certain kills, less Mickey Cantor yelling, but I dislike the host changes.. Get kicked out a lot more now it sems.

    Other objections with that "style" aside, one shouldn't have to try to basically sabotage the game just to make a class feel less broken.

    oh yeah, almost every game I play I end up back at the title screen due to host not being able to be switched over, it really sucks!

    That's exactly the point as it is a melee attack that launches the Assassin 10-15 feet forward. Why does it need to cause more damage than a normal attack? The movement bonus is the entire point of using the lunge. How about Uber removes the lunge entirely and simply improves the Dash ability? I thought not.

    Better yet why not give the Lunge a much longer cooldown, then they can increase the damage but it won't allow the Assassin to spam it for movement. Once every 15 seconds sounds about right. Balance is all about giving something up when you get something in return so if you want more damage then expect to have something else taken away. Remeber that the lunge's dagger damage was glitched previously so you can't say that it was nerfed as the values were incorrect to start.

    Oh, I posted in the middle of this thread already but you would have had to actually read the entire thing to know that. Guess you missed that post.

    That being said the dagger damage from the lunge was glitched and was fixed with the title update. Using this 'glitched' value as a reference for what the damage should be is not even close to accurate. To be honest the lunge damage should be exactly the same as a normal strike from the same weapon as the lunge is a normal strike with an increased mobility. I still fail to see how increasing the lunge damage above the normal attack balances this class. It's not like the Tank's Death Blossom where the remaining ammo determines the possible damage so what is the balancing factor for a highly mobile, spammable ability?
