Everything in the game, especially the planet smashing, the nukes, the ChronoCam, and the shaders (graphics).

Lol, people make negative threads, they get locked, and they claim it's every thread that get's locked.

You realize the total number of threads locked here, is probably less than any other official forum. Rockstar and Microsoft and EA probably locks 5x more threads. They would lock more, but they don't fart around and actually ban challengers outright.

The old maidens say, that is how gamefaqs fills up, from the discards that stood up in a large game developers forum. Because seriously, what do you expect talking smack about the person with the ability to lock or delete?

Except usually, these devs don't ban without direct challenge, and only lock when "critizism" turns non-constructive, and usually that is 1 out of every 100 threads made, not 1 out of every 15.

The fact that it's on multiple planets.
That was my favourite thing about the game back when it was merely a pitch with a trailer and it is to this day my favourite thing about the game.

It's just an awesome idea. Down with 2D square plains, this **** better become the future of the RTS.

Also, the nuke effects. They just look great.
I can only imagine what Uber's got in store for us with the metal planet deathray.

+1 for the scale. Watching my factories churn out war machines wholesale is a thing of beauty.

I have... err... umm... "many" mods. It's hideously easy to do small things (and not so small) that make a big difference.

I am not sure about this, sorry to say it.

It's too much "Game of thrones" for me. Maybe it will fit in Chris Taylor never to be "Kingdoms", but not here.

    But, everything else totally rocks!

Lately I've mostly been playing galactic war, and I must say I have been very pleasantly surprised by the progress on that front. It still has a long way to go, but for example I really like how the maps have been split into several different 'scenarios', for example different moon starts with a large un-spawnable middle planet with tons of eco, or the water starts, and so on. I think if Uber continues to build a stable of fun 'scenarios' in this way, and adds a bit more depth to the rougelike mechanics, it will actually be a really fun mode to play. I like using it to test the balance of each new build.

Path-finding is functional and 9 times out of 10 works perfectly.
Terrain is varied and looks nice, still wanting more stuff and functionality, but it's still good.
Balance, well balance was never going to be perfect, but in a player vs AI kind of way the game is very fun and enjoyable to the casual player, in both skirmish, MP and galactic war.
Galactic war is currently, a nice demo peace, but as it stands, is a very nice demo.
Unit variety is fairly decent, especially with bots and the units designs being used for them, bots feel like the most finished unit class, followed shorty by orbital, aircraft, tanks and then boats.
Interplanetary is, in my opinion rather unfinished, but it is however functional enough to allow teleporters to be the main form of travel, until more methods and UI tools allow.
The UI looks beautiful and is well on it's way to providing a comfortable playing and speculating experience so far.

And while ther are a number of smaller details that I could point as as being rather nice and well done to most casual players such as me, overall the game could honestly be released at a worse time.
