I don't mean to be rude but those are god-damn loud and easy to avoid.

I'm not saying computer perfect - but players will be able to get damn good at sniping - especially as it's pretty much an Auto-Sniper with no Recoil. Oh, and you can be running and jumping while shooting.

I dunno, I'm just kinda dreading any amazing Quake snipers deciding to give MNC a go - or any great TF2 Snipers for that matter - the step up from TF2 Sniper Rifle to MNC will make them poop unicorns.

Every class with gold RoF and juice can take down turrets, even supports. Snipers might be a bit shitty, but at least they can just throw a flak grenade and take a rocket turret down to half its health and then proceed to do somethinge else. Overall, an assault simply doesn't want to waste his time with turrets.

Not nearly half except for Grenadeiii. And see through =/= shoot through.

Also keeping track of 6 individual players WHILE shooting is gonna be a bit of an headache... Give it a try if you doubt it. See how long you can keep track of all 5 or 6 enemy players WHILE still doing your job as Sniper.

Peak human =/= aimbotting and wallhacking. Even the best player ever will never hit 100% accuracy. Ever.

Being able to pull quick headshots doesn't save you from a surprise Gunner or assault to the face.

The closer the target is, the exponentially harder it becomes to get that necessary headshot, and the more punishing it is to miss.

Being able to go invisible or kill you from behind cover is also pretty awesome. You should learn to use other classes.

@grimbar: A well hidden one is actually quite difficult to detect. Especially if you toss a very obvious one first to force the sniper to "dodge" right into the hidden one.

It might be that I played competitive DotA, but I don't have too much of a problem with this. It's 6 little variables you have to refresh every 5 seconds or so. Not too much on top of what you're already doing.
If it looks like a player might be approaching - be very wary.

I'm sorry, I was actually being sarcastic.
What I was trying to say was that I'm not thinking that every Sniper has aimbots and wallhacks, I'm saying that a peak human Sniper would be well... ridiculous.
Think of the best aim humanly possible.
Watch some competitive sniping frag videos on youtube or something. It gets pretty crazy.

Interestingly enough, I barely use cloak when playing Assassin. It gives me away often.
And then... well... killing from behind cover.... WHEN map geometry allows... AND the opponent allows themselves to be hit several times...

Like, if I could take the Assault's Grenades and I could bounce them perfectly around the map where it was allowed, or, a hitscan insta-death for people who are in my Line of Sight - I'd go for the latter,

Might just be my opinion though.

i love how some of you post "sniper is fine, i haz killed one b4"

i see nothing wrong with a 1 hit KO from a grapple, or a ring-out, or any other one-hit-kill scenario excluding a 1 hit kill head shot.

getting head shots is far too easy in this game, especially on the two heavies.

the sniper in this game has no recoil, it shoots very fast, and is just super easy to use in general.

but what sucks the most is, You cant have fun playing as a gunner if the sniper on the other side pops you every time you show your face in a lane or up high where you belong.

sure every class has its strengths and weaknesses, but the snipers rifle just outweighs everything.

so if you are in the mood to play a certain class in your average pub game, and you face a sniper that is getting nothing but head shots,.....should you be forced to switch classes just so that you can now leave your base?

oh wait, i too have killed a sniper before,....they are very balanced!

edit: forgot to throw this in there:

some of you forget that most of us here play for fun, and not competitively. and getting shot in the face by an over-skilled 15 year old kid nonstop all game is not fun.

and that should be reason enough for a change.
